If they include the N64 stages then they should keep the layout identical, but spruce up the graphics a bit.

I do agree. I think that they should make a level with Bowsers dungeon, perhaps some podoboos and firechains and the like. It would be pretty cool, perhaps incorporate some from all games, perhaps have a bridge that will collapse, or like in SMB3, have the blocks that get destroyed when you hit them (Like on Green Greens), It would certainly be a fun board.
Another board that I think would make a good board would be the ruins that are found under Rogueport in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
One board that would be pretty cool would be Dr. Mario's vial, and the only type of items that would fall would be capsules, and the viruses would be the platforms, however how to get knocked off the stage would prove problems.
A Mario Kart board would be pretty cool to have, one of the boards retro to the SMK on the Snes, but it would be sorta awkward to be hit by a rampaging kart whose driver is the same as your player.
Thats all I can think of at the moment.

I thought about that too, but the only way to knock off another player would be to knock them upwards... so it could be a problem. That isn't really an issue in SSB, since you could have four Marios fighting each other if you wanted. The Blue Falcon still races around Mute City even if you have four Captain Falcons in the fight.

I thought about that too, but the only way to knock off another player would be to knock them upwards... so it could be a problem. I don't think it would be a problem, in fact I think a walled stage would be quite cool, as you could smash them into walls to receive more damage. It would be nice and different. I don't think they should stop there with puzzle game arenas - make a Panel de Pon one, and whatever other puzzle games Nintendo owns. You could make it unbeleivably cool by allowing one player to control the arena like they were playing the actual puzzle game, while the others fight... like having 3 people fight while one controls the camera, in a way.

Actually, the EarthBound stages were some of my favourites in SSBM, but they could have chosen some even more wacky locales. Saturn Valley would be an obvious choice... and possible Threed. Is that the town with the zombies, the circus and the flypaper? It's been a while since I played it.

Yep, that's Threed. I was quite disappointed that SSBM's Onett stage didn't have the Onett music from Earthbound...

Just came to a thought, but what about a stage for Metroid Prime series!?
Fighting on a Rev is also interesting.

I was thinking of a Pallet Town stage....but what would the level hazard be? We've already seen pokemon attack from the elevator in Saffron City....dang. I do like the idea of revamping all the stages in SSB.

Heres an Idea
The course is called "Nintendo Dream"
Where you fight on a NES,SNES,N64,NGC,Rev.,GB,GBC,GBA,GBASP,GB Micro,DS, and Virtual Boy. All of them move so you have to jump between them. cool huh?
Edit-Like Poke Floats
