Hey look.... there IS a castle in the background. And it's just hidden away well enough to be very likely that it is Peach's. Told You. It's very blurry. Very hard to spot.

Yes, but I had to go and see it with my own eyes, as all you had to go on was someone else's word - and that's no good to me.
Which means all I can credit you with is "bringing it to my attention" rather than "finding" it.

Mushroom Castle must be the Sleeping Beauty Castle of Nintendo. Maybe Hyrule Castle is the equivalent of Cinderella's...

Because Cinderella is cooler than Sleeping Beauty? Hmm...

Nooo, in Disneyland they have the Sleeping Beauty castle and the one in Walt Disney World is the one from Cinderella. Hyrule Castle's much larger, although Mushroom Castle is obviously bigger than it lets on in each game. I imagine the Peach Gardens is the courtyard between both the M&L side and the Paper Mario side. SM64 was obviously before she furnished it, and was still living mostly in the capital's castle.

Actually, Sleeping Beauty's Castle is taken off(almost enitily) from Ludwig's Castle in Germany. It's hard to say where Miyamoto got the influence for the castle(although Sleeping Beauty's is more likely).
