Anybody notice that the Gossip Stones bear a slight resemblance to Wario? Try to get a closer look of them...big nose, crooked mustache, toothy grin...Not sure if this counts, but just something I noticed. Are they more than two teeth? I can only see two. For another not-so-cameo, if you consider Tingle a non-TLoZ character in the future, remember he appears in a poster inside Mercay Tavern.

Whoo! Here's a cameo (I think) There are enemies that resemble green Koopa shells.

'nother cameo! Sorry, I can's take screenshots on my DS, so I used my camera. But I found out that one of the Anouki tribe is cooking one of the crabs from Mario Bros.! Pay no mind to the date. My camera is messed up. EDIT: The enemy is called a Sidestepper. Seen here and here.

Johans, Teev, nice finds! Those are some pretty well-hidden cameos right there.

Handheld Zeldas always had a Mario enemy or two (maybe not Minish), so I like that Koopa shells return as foes. And SIDESTEPPER?!

I've found yet another cameo. When you first meet the Postman, he will tell you not to shoot him out of the sky with a slingshot. I believe this is an Animal Crossing: Wild World reference (in which you must shoot Pete the Postman outta the sky with your slingshot).

These are great. I knew the game would have a few!

Hard to say if this is a definate cameo, but the sea slate (that cyclone transport thing involving the golden frogs) looks like a GBA cart.
It sort of made think back to the Stone of Agony in OoT that was in the shape of the N64 Rumble Pak.

That one isn't as obvious as the Dee Ess Island but it has a very similar shape if you don't count proportions. Here's a picture: You're not the only one who thinks so (unless you wrote that) as it's also stated at Zelda Wiki.org.

Just looks like a slate to me. I'm sure if they intended it to be a GBA cart cameo, they could have just made it the same proportions as a real GBA cart.

Bump for better pic of Shell Spinners. Top and bottom... The Koopa resemblance is uncanny! ;D

Aha, are they related to the turtle shell enemies from A Link to the Past, by any chance? Looks like you knock them over with the Hammer in the same way. I really need to play Phantom Hourglass
