Fryguy: Huh? You like Nintendo 64!? Well, actually... Even until now, Super Nintendo is still my favourite. And look how long its lifespan is !? And so I disagree with that 64 is the successor of SF (or SN), but a 3rd pillar like DS instead. (Ugh, both 64-bit, and both are (64log 4) rd pillar in my view.) It does make no sense. People gonzo about multiplayer constantly nowadays, yet the PS2 has only two controller ports, and the games that are compatible with the 4-player adaptar are hoboty for the most part. Well, just to say, While PS2 has 2 ports only, Nintendo GameCube can, depending on software, support 16 players. Nintendo always has some exciting unique features, y'know!? Anyway, as for Sony, it's not only that its consoles are bad... the same theory applies for TVs, Monitors, DVs, Cameras, even PHONES. Sony Ericsson STINKS!

(Ugh, both 64-bit, and both are (64log 4) rd pillar in my view.) ...Why? It clearly wasn't a third pillar. If it was they'd have kept releasing SNES games. Well, just to say, While PS2 has 2 ports only, Nintendo GameCube can, depending on software, support 16 players. PS2 can, depending on software, support 4 players. Sure, it's not as many, but it's still more than 2. Anyway, as for Sony, it's not only that its consoles are bad... the same theory applies for TVs, Monitors, DVs, Cameras, even PHONES. Sony Ericsson STINKS! You sound more and more like a fanboy. No offense, I just find it slightly irritating. I've had no problems with my Sony TV, and the CD drive in my computer is made by Sony and has worked perfectly for over 10 years without a single problem. You can't just go around bashing a company like that. It's bound to upset someone.

The N64 wasn't a third-pillar. It was a successor. They continued supporting the Super Famicom for a short while in the same way they continued supporting the Famicom for a short while after the Super Famicom was released. Nintendo would be a bit stupid to just drop a highly successful system just because they have a new one out. But yes, Young Link... you are sounding a little bit like a psychotic fanboy I agree that Sony Playstations are tacky and break far too easily, but most of their stuff is half decent.

Sorry for all, if that has caused any inconvenience. However, what I said before is not purely my opinion, but based on my experience! I don't see PS2's or PSP's malfunctioning, but judging only its graphics it's already very bad for 128-bit consoles. And as for extendability, Sony's consoles are okay at that, but to become more perfect, shouldn't be there more built-in functions rather than let the player to buy extra hardware? As for other products associated with Sony, Let's see... DV's. Well, they're actually quite good, it's just that they're easy to be damaged. And while using it, my hands occassionally get shocked by static electricity! For their monitors, me pxperience is that some of them are quite good, but some are not. A Sony Multiscan 15sf of mine longed for 6 years - and it's a second hand one. My Multiscan 17sfII, on the other hand, was downed in the first half year I use it. And about their phones. In terms of function and extendability, they aren't very good (except the bluetooth part of some early SE phones), and are, once again, easily depreciated. If their major products (AV products generally) are in a quality like this, then... Well, I don't want to comment. I want to make it clear: My statement is based on my previous experience. EOF. I won't talk about this issue again. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reply to the statemant about Nintendo 64. I know that it isn't a successor.... nah, it isn't a 3rd pillar in fact, I'm just somehow surprised how it expanded SF's life.
