The day Nintendo gets a Grand Theft Auto, is the day when...
I can't even think of anything to compare that probability.
...not that it would be bad for Nintendo to have a GTA...

There was also Grand Theft Auto for GBC, Grand Theft Auto 2 for GBC and a canceled Grand Theft Auto 3 for GBA. If I remember, all of them weren't great

I was talking about a 3D GTA also... the 2D ones stink.
The day Nintendo gets a 3D Grand Theft Auto game is the day when Sony and Microsoft leave the gaming hardware business.

Don't be so sure. I mean we technically got Manhunt 2 on the Wii. Technically, because most countries refused to release it, and Nintendo vetoed it So Rockstar is looking to infiltrating the Wii market. It's not completely out of the question. I mean, I remember everyone saying the games would never come out on Xbox, but Rockstar blew that one out of the water.

Nintendo isn't opposed to GTA sorts of games, because they obviously want to break into the Western market a little more than they have already. I mean, look at some of the third party games they allowed on the GCN and the Wii thus far. They obviously want more support in the Teen to Mature department.

Don't forget Bully: Scholarship Edition, which has been praised for being an above average port, superior to the PS2 version, and not rushed shovelware. I personally believe that most of this skewing the Wii towards so called 'non-gamers' is because Nintendo KNOWS it won't get a Final Fantasy or a Grand Theft Auto. Core gamers are much more likely to own a competing system and buy third-party games for that competing system. So what Nintendo does is make their OWN successful market and then convince the Final Fantasies and Grand Theft Autos to come to their console. In my opinion, you're not wrong about this. But again, the problem is the fans. The Wii may have a large enough installed base to attract third parties like Take Two and Square-Enix to at least test the waters, but if no one buys those games that are being offered, then it's not likely to go any further. Nintendo is right back where they started. Now, if one or two Wii owners would go out and buy Bully, then we're a step closer to GTA on the Wii.

Nintendo is right back where they started. Sadly, for third parties, all it will mean is that they can't make money on Nintendo's system. It's clear that Nintendo can take this system on it's own, and Wii Fit, Brawl and Mario Kart show that. The end result will be more take overs and mergers. Since third parties can't do as well on the Wii nor on the other two they run the risk of having to merge with other companies, or be eated up by those that can make money.

It was good when games used to be $30.00 New but no it's like $50.00 while the system is like 150. It's just too much for one game.
