So that leaves us with 7 characters left Meta-Knight Peach Ice Climbers Ness C. Falcon Sheik Marth
Of course, this is if Marth is a starter (wwhich he probobly is as that's his course) and Sheik and the IC stay (please God, let the Ice Climbers stay).

Marth has to be a starting character, considering that if Ike were Sakurai would've announced him along with the other n00bs

I think Luigi and Captain Falcon are dead certs for being included in Brawl, although I doubt Luigi being a starting character. Hopefully, Luigi is less like Mario this time around.
As for Peach, the Ice Climbers and Mr Game&Watch hopefully they'll be announced soon ( I don't really care about Ness or Marth to be honest).

If not then we only have 4 characters verses Melee's 5. Even if he's not trying to cram characters in, there should be at least one more in the starting roster. I say Marth becuase I do beleive the castle is from FE1.

I would believe that Marth would get shifted into the position of starting character much like Captain Falcon and Ness did from SSB to Melee; Marth is the main character from his franchise, and FE is the only one of the Melee franchises that didn't have a level in the completed version.

Since Melee's launch, I've always contended the Brawl starting lineup to be (and no, I am not making up the "new fighters." I always knew they would pop up in-game someday ) Mario, Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, DK, Link, Zelda, Samus, Captain Falcon, Ness, Kirby, Pikachu, Ice Climbers, Fox, Wario, Pit, Meta Knight, Marth So far, the only ones left to announce from my 6 year old list are Peach, Falcon, Ness, Climbers, and Marth. I just hope Ness isn't turned into Lucas...

And I hope they add a freakin' newcomer to the starting roster. The fact that they added fewer new characters then Melee did doesn't sit right. i men, there has to be someone. Diddy, perhaps Little Mac.

This is the Yoshi's Story look, which I have bemoaned since that game came out. His Yoshi's Island look (which has been kept alive in YT&G and YIDS) I still think is his best, and the SSBM look was much closer to that. I know I'm really late here, but didn't this look for Yoshi start in Mario Kart 64 rather than Yoshi's Story? YES, I FEEL LIKE BEING PICKY! I quite like this look for him, anyway. Strange, SSB/SSBM had Yoshi's Story-style stages with a Yoshi's Island-style Yoshi... and now SSBB seems to have the exact opposite. YS-style Yoshi and a YI-style stage.

Well, you can be picky. The look first appeared in Mario Kart 64, for sure, but Yoshi's Story was already in production. The model was used. Note how MK64 Yoshi didn't use the Yoshi voice.

Ah, I see. I had no idea how long YS was actually in production. XD
I have to say, I didn't much like Yoshi's look in SSBM. I love the YI look, but it felt different in Melee. Perhaps it was just the darker colours and more detailed textures, though.

His pose was very different - he was hunched over. He was a darker green as well. I liked it - made him look like a cross between his original look and his Yoshi's Story look.
