There are alot of icons for the game, but there is only 18. Am I right. Thanks to 'TrustTheFungus' we know there is only 3 more spaces. And one of those is for Metal Gear. So two more spaces. Pacman, Sonic, Game and Watch, Ice Climbers then have slim chances of getting in the game.

No, its up to 18 known to be in. It will no doubt go further than 18, and I wouldn't think third parties such as Metal Gear would be in the first 18.

Where is everyone getting that there are 18 icons? I'd like to know.

Never mind. Forget what I said. I noticed Pit's is 18. But there could be more like everyone is saying.

Third parties HAVE to be at the end. And since we saw new franchises only appear AFTER unlocking characters in Melee, I highly suspect we'll see more icons after 18.

Those two blanks after FE are Ice Climbers and Game and Watch. They gotta be. And that one amidst Wario and Animal Crossing is a new franchise. Something not third party. Punch-Out?

I'm more sure about Ice Climbers than G&W... After all, why must Animal Crossing be the first new one listed? ^_^

The Pikmin one is like a given. What about Wars?

Haha, no. It's a fake people are passing off as real on Gamefaqs and IGN and stuff. Looks convincing though, doesn't it?

Personally, that's a LAME roster if that's the final franchise list. Olimar is cool, Sonic is OK, but that's IT? I would think better of Sakurai than to settle with that

Speaking from experience (of which I have none), this will be nowhere near the final truth.

I would think he'd add a totally unique character no ione thought of, or was lost into Nintendo history. Little Mac and Takamaru do fit that bill.

But seriously, doesn't that seem so lackluster? I guess it's a good thing to be satisfied with so little, but I'm amazed that there are people out there who are content with just the Melee roster + Sonic. That's insane. I want variety!

It's becuase Sakurai doesn't always give us the characters we want. But gives us ones we don't know we want. That is the beauty of Smash. Compning so many characters from so many places. Many people just want the resent, but he wants them all.
