The actions that really define the personality of each character are special moves! In Brawl, you can do four different moves with just one button and different directional tilts on the Control Stick. These are the four types. Control for each is quite simple.<Standard special moves>Many of these are basic attacks, like the firing of a weapon.(Normal Special Move: Mach Tornado) <Side special moves>These are bold attacks that launch in the direction you tilt the stick.(Side Special Move: Triple Dash) <Up special moves>These are crucial. They’re used to do high jumps and for recovering when you’re falling off the stage.(Up Special Move: Shuttle Loop) <Down special moves>Many of these do unusual things, like reflect enemy attacks.(Down Special Move: Dimensional Cape) Our model was Meta Knight.
To enjoy more of the depth of special moves, try holding the button down longer to charge up attacks, rapidly pressing the button repeatedly, or tilting the Control Stick while doing the moves. You might also want to try them in midair.
Surprisingly, there’s a variety of hidden uses for many of them.

Hey, second character with all four special moves defined ;D And the character hasn't even been announced yet!

No conspiracy theories as to why we got Metaknight's moves like this, rather than in a special moves page? And why we still haven't gotten his profile?
I guess the night is young.

Because he's an unlockable. I stand by that suggestion. Sakurai obviously wants to show him off, but won't announce him until closer to release.
No doubt, Meta-Knight will be the first unlockable character announced.

Please. Don't tell me that Meta Knight will be Jigglypuff's replacement.

Tradition, schmradition!
If tradition stood, we wouldn't have third party characters. Not that I don't mind them, I tolerate them in Brawl.
Meta Knight replacing Jigglypuff would be great. I never saw how Jigglypuff contributed to the Pokemon franchise in the first place. The only thing I could think of is her guest appearances in the anime back in the day. But she doesn't have that anymore so there's no point in keeping her around.
Note that I love playing as Jigglypuff but still would like to see another Pokemon in her place... Like Meowth. At least he's still contributing to the Pokemon franchise with Pikachu in the anime.
In short words, I don't mind Jigglypuff gone.

I doubt Meta-Knight will replace Jigglypuff - we're just saying Meta-Knight is likely to be the first announced secret character. Snake's likely to be close behind.
I love playing as Jigglypuff ;D One of my best characters! Sure, she doesn't contribute a lot, but she's a great character. I'm sure something could replace her, but I'd much rather see her with some new moves. Wake-Up Slap as a grab attack, perhaps?

Yeah, Jigglypuff was great. But back to Meta Knight...
Do they really need to introduce him? They just showed us some of his special attacks...

I think they will have to show us his profile and special moves (that's just to explain exactly what his moves do).
Although I'm sure his down special is turning invisible like in the first trailer and his up special OR side special is gliding like in the second trailer.

He's Sakurai's favorite character. That's the only reason for anything.
But niiice special moves. I love the Amazing Mirror and Superstar references, and the Up B appears to be borrowed from Kirby's Jet Ability. Very cool. I wonder if that forward B is what becomes the gliding ability we saw in the Nintendo World video

Actually, "Shuttle Loop" belongs to the Wing ability. Which makes sense, given that Meta Knight can sprout wings.

Nice. But, I'm, still wondering on this. Meta-Knight has been in so many screenshots. Is he really a hidden character?
That makes me wonder who's next in line to be shown. If Dedede comes, I thinkw we have our awnser (and an awesome character).

Hmm... Great. Now we see Meta's special moves. Al at once.
And I guess if DDD's presence is made true, Kirby would have his Side B changed? Wheel, perhaps? Missile?

We've already seen Kirby using his old Forward Special Move... So I'm guessing not...
