Just because SSBM was made by HAL doesn't make it a Kirby game. And the basic premise of Air Ride is extremely easy, whther or not the things you have to do in it are hard I don't know. I KNOW That SSBM doesn't count. It's just some sort of...... well, forget it. As for Air Ride, I do think it's hard if you talk about getting all 360 "tasks" completed. Anyway, I think the entire Kirby series is easy.

Yes, the basic premise of Kirby Air Ride is ridiculously easy... but it's not the premise that makes the game... it's the nigh-on impossible challenges! ;;

I haven't played a whole lot of Kirby games, but I loved Canvas Curse.

Right Now! Kirby Super star, nothing comes close to its two player mode (thats why i have high hopes on Kirby GC)

Kirby Superstar. Best variety, lots of fun with two-player.
The new GC Kirby is bringing back the co-op (this time with 4 players!) and I can't wait to play it.

The main game itself is ludicrously easy... sit on Star and steer your way to the end, occasionally holding down A to take corners.
Then you have the aerial-view game, with short tracks... same again.
Then you have the City Trial mode where you have to collect power-ups and Star Racers to aid you in minigames.
Easy peasy... BUT... there are no Grand Prix modes, no instant gratification... the whole game is based around filling up three checkboards (one for each mode) with achievements done in each. Beat the track, beat the track in a certain time limit, beat the track in a ridiculous time limit on a slow Star, race three laps without doing X, smash a certain number of enemies... once you've got the easy tasks out of the way, the rest are nearly impossible!
Got bad press, but if you get your head around what the designers were after then it becomes a hefty challenge.
