Well, it's obvious that Sakurai is using the fourth controller as a camera.
This update kicks. ;D

You know, that last screenshot got me thinking, what if the character that activates the assist trophy DOES'NT turn into the assist, but Sakurai decided to play the game with only 2 other people? If you guys already figured that out, then I'm sorry for bothering you with that. No. Why would he play a match with two other people? It's four. Every time there is an assist, there are only three characters visible. You don't control the assist.... Wait a second...it said on Lyn's page that you could hold your enemy down so she could attack them... Sakurai, what is up with this?

stolen from a post of mine on another forum:
"Actually, I think I may have just clicked as to whats going on - in that shot, the camera is set to 'angled' rather than 'fixed' - and since Special Brawl is like all the special melees put together, I'm pretty sure that means 'Camera mode'. Hence the 4th player is controlling the camera.
But then furthering that, maybe the reason we've only seen 3 characters in every other assist update is using 'angled' camera to take screenshots - except for Devil and Nintendog, which, as you'll note, have screenshots taken from the 'fixed' position anyway. "

I wanna know what items modify Gravity. That's a new gig that wasn't in Melee.
A nice little update towards the end of a mediocre week. Hopefully TOMORROW will be Captain Falcon... >.>

FAAAAAAAALLLLLLCCCCCCOOOOOOONNNNNN PUNCH! Woot Falcon! *cough* Anyway, I like this update. It takes the cool concept behind Special Melee in SSBM and takes it to a whole new level. I predict that there's probably more options than what we see here...but we'll see.

Proof: 4 Characters and an angled camera. I was wishing they had made it so you could adjust each character individually.

This is kinda neat, but I'm not as enthusiastic as I think I should be about it. I dunno. This entire week's been kind of a lackluster one for me since I don't care for Pokéball updates or Fire Emblem, and we've known the Halberd would be a stage since E3 last year...eh. Hopefully tomorrow has something to really excite me.

Like some kind of Tei themed stage? Has been another quiet week. So fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I think we're seeing the slowdown of characters finally rear it's ugly head. That said, we've got something of everything this week, except a character or music. I don't think we'll get a character until next week though, and it'll probably be Captain Falcon or Ness/Lucas in any case.
Another Adventure Mode video would be a nice update for tomorrow.

If you guys already figured that out, then I'm sorry for bothering you with that. And this confirms quite a bit. Wonder if we'll see updates about this stuff soon? It's been known since the begining that the player doesn't turn into the assist. It says it right here: "Bear in mind, though, that you can’t control any of the characters appearing on these pages. Let there be no mistake about that." You can't control them. And they're invincible. They're like pokemon. You don't turn into them. I think we can confirm the big mushroom and the poison mushroom too right? Because the size option uses a mushroom as a logo?

Yeah, the character slowdown is already taking its toll. It's at this point I think we'll start to see more Bosses crop up, and hopefully new stages. The only ones left that we've seen in the movies that haven't been revealed are Mario Circuit and Alaska--and we ain't gonna see the latter until after the game's release. I think we can confirm the big mushroom and the poison mushroom too right? Because the size option uses a mushroom as a logo? \Well, we can probobly conferm it becuase what other items will do that? The Minish Cap and the Giant's Mask, from Minish Cap and Majora's Mask respectively. ;D
