The enemies in Super Smash Bros. Brawl: The Subspace Emissary are called the Subspace Army!
Right now, I’d like to introduce some of the more powerful ones.ROADERThis enemy looks like a motorised unicycle. These guys ride around in groups, and are both fast and powerful.POPPANTTheir bucket trousers are filled with presents and sweets. If you approach these cowards, they’ll flee.BYTANLeave these enemies be and they’ll multiply in a flash. Destroy them before they become too much trouble!TROWLONThis creature will use its trowel-like arms to lift characters up and fly off with them.SHAYDASThis unpleasant, fog-like enemy has a weak spot at the core of its chest!AUROROSThis bird dives from above, piercing the ground. You can pull out any Auroros that sticks itself into the ground.GREAPIt’s HUGE! It attacks by swinging two sickles down upon you. Its red head is its weak spot. The R.O.B. SquadThe escort the Ancient Minister brings with him is an R.O.B squad?! There are some that fire beams and others that fire missiles.
There are other enemies that will appear and try to impede your progress. Good luck! Don’t lose! And don’t run away!

Are any of these (aside from the R.O.Bs) from other games? The Roader guys look like the wheelies on Kirby...but that's it.

Bytan looks like Voltorb? Yeah nevermind..
I like the different level styles too they showed so far.

I don't think so... although Roader looks like what Uniracer would be if Rockstar North, the former DMA Design, made a sequel today...
Also the Bytan look like Demented Pokeballs, and Greap looks like it's a fusion of the Grim Reaper and Eggplant Wizard.

I like the enemy design in this. Some of the enemies have super serious looks with them like Roader and Shaydas while some are humorous like Poppant.
The R.O.B Squad was also a good idea for an enemy too.

I always knew ROB was evil, and now I have proof. Still it's always nice to see that he hasn't been forgotten.

Quite a cool update. But where's my new characters? And we haven't had a music update in bloody ages!

ROB forgotten? He's in every Wario Ware game, the latest Mariokart, and an illustrious list of cameos. He's practically popular.
I'm kind of upset at all the original characters stealing the spotlight in my glorious oldskool-fest. Didn't like Master Hand, didn't like polygon team or wireframe team. Laser gun, beam saber, party ball, etc. Boo to that. There should have been non-generic equivalents available. Now all Hell's broken loose.

Quite a cool update. But where's my new characters? And we haven't had a music update in bloody ages! I know, its been what, 8 updates since we got 2 music tracks and the My Music megaton. Bloody ages, I say. I have no problem with original things appearing in Smash, since I have no doubt we'll see Koopa Troopas, Octoroks, Waddle Dees, and whatever else mixed in with them. Also, Poppant is awesome.

The Subspace Emissaries look pretty cool. I especially love the screenshots where Link and Pit are battling them. Very epic.

I like these enemies. More surprising and dangerous than a goomba, an octorok or a redead.
The Subspace Army truly look serious and worthy.

SHAYDAS looks amazingly awesome. Especially with Link next to him.

Where the hell are these things being fought? The backgrounds are phenomenal, but it's impossible to discern if these are generic stages or what. I'm beginning to think they might be, because a pine forest? A factory? A playground? Some of this stuff doesn't really add up as far as placing into a game goes.
Also, my guess is that they're all slightly original and slightly ripped from Nintendo enemies. Roader is an evil Wheelie, Bytans are evil Voltorbs, but then the others all seem pretty unique. It'd be surprising to see how many enemies they use from actual games and how many they created just for this mode. In other words, will we be seeing Roaders AND Koopas? Koopas ON Roaders? Or just Roaders and NO Koopas?
EDIT: I had this crazy dream today's update would be Geno. The same was for yesterday's 100th Update as well. I wonder... My prediction for tomorrow? GENO!

Thought I'd check the names against their Japanese equivalents. For shits and giggles.
ROADER - Rooda POPPANT - Popparama BYTAN - Baitan TROWLON - Fauron SHAYDAS - Sheidasu AUROROS - Aroarosu GREAP - Giraan The R.O.B. Squad - Robot Gundan
