How the heck would the trailer have specified whether the box was a shield or a special. I think it's a special, since all of the other new characters had specials shown in the trailer.

I said after the trailer. Though, I just found out it wasn't confirmed. Just people wanted that to be his shield. |

The problem would be figuring out good ones for all of them. I can see Bowser ducking into his shell and Peach using her parasol, but what about the rest?

Donkey Kong could hide in a Tag Barrel from DK64, or just an ordinary DK Barrel.
