I think tomorrow just might be Captain Olimar. Even if it's not, I have a feeling that he'll be the next character to be announced.

I predict that tomorrow's update will say "Ness is an Assist Trophy. So stop living in denial and accept that some characters from previous installments will be removed and replaced." XD

This weeks been a fairly disappointing week, particularly with the apparent removal of Ness, so I think we're going to get a big update to make up for it. And its character time, surely.
I don't think it'll be a newcomer (though.... maybe), I don't think it'll be PUUUUUUUNCH... I'm saying Ganondorf or Mewtwo. I'll go with Mewtwo.

Yeah, this week's updates so far has been pretty mediocre, maybe tomorrow's update will be amazing that it makes up for this week. Hmm.. I am hoping for a new stage update. Either Norfair, Mario Circuit, or a F-Zero stage. Maybe Sonic's stage would be nice, maybe Green Hill Zone or even Mushroom Hill Zone. If we are getting a newcomer, please let it be an Animal Crossing character! Or Captain Olimar.  |

Maybe it will be a stage based of the Wii's software and involve's the Mii's from the Mii Channel and it's weather will change according to what's on the Weather Channel.
Yes, that was pretty random . . . Just trying to imagine what Sakarai would come up with.
The Weather Channel intergration was inspired by a similar Waether Channel feature in the upcoming Wii NiGHTS game.

Wouldn't Smashville use the Weather Channel to change weather conditions on the stage based on the weather conditions of where you live?

Well if Smashville is based off entirely off of AC: WW this there would be no Weather Channel support because it came for the DS if it's staying in canon with it's game. Also it would have stated that or hinted at it on the site if it was in.
Besides the Weather in Animal Crossing was harmless from what I played of AC on the GCN. All you had from what I remember was just rain (which caused every resident that was outdoor to pull out an umbrella.) and I think snow fell from the sky in winter. But that did not do anything.
Don't know about if AC: WW had weather hazard's though, can anyone confirm this?
If they did my crazy idea you could have weather that could really be a game play hazard instead of just a non hazard background feature.

Woo. People called it. But it makes me sad thats its actually true.
Monday is the 150th update. And its gonna be, if I'm not mistaken, the longest time without a character update we've seen yet. We need something big. I'm calling Ridley already.
....or the complete opposite... Bowser special moves.
