Well, let's see...
- Item - Captain Falcon - How to Play update - Something ELSE from E For All - Something unexpected (I'd say Wario Man would count...)
Pfft, only one right...
So, for next week:
- Item - Character - Something from E For All - Final Smash of someone - Something for Subspace Emissary

I predict some sort of "the game was going to come out today, but it's not so here is __________" kind of update. Captain Falcon or a newcomer I hope.

My predictions for the week.
Monday: Double update, a character update of either a newcomer, Captain Falcon returning or something to do with Kirby. Plus some footage of some character's fighting as an apology for the delay and today being the previous release date. Tuesday: Pokeball update. Wednesday: Zelda's Final Smash. Thursday: Crawling. Friday: Subspace Emissary video.

You guys do understand that he did nothing for the Japanese release. So why would he do anything for ours?

There never was an official Japanese release was there?
That being said, I predict something underwhelming (though I hold out hope for something good). Returning Pokeball Pokemon and How to Play: Crawling
for the rest of the week: Tuesday - Game Mode: Board the Platforms Wednesday - Stage: F-Zero Thursday - Assist Trophy: uh.... Cranky Kong Friday: Zelda special moves and character: Sheik

It seems like there could be classes for Assist Trophies. Cranky and Mr. Resetti would be the "ramble on endlessly without really doing anything" ones ;D

My prediction?
2 months ago... you wouldn't have guessed we'd be making predictions for today's update. You wouldn't think we would care. The game would be coming out today... we'd all be purchasing it and playing it and discovering the answers to all of the unanswered questions we still have.
Yet here we are... thanks to a delay we're thinking about what small tidbit of information is going to be squeezed out of this website today. Perhaps it will be how to do something we've all known about.... maybe it will be one of the 492 fictional species of Pokemon from Nintendo's multibillion dollar videogame fanchise... or maybe it will even be a character returning from the last game.
Regardless of what it is, I know where I'll be... a short while from now. Refreshing the page, like a madman... checking the German site at 2:00, since they usually get it first. Then waiting for the translation. Just like I have done, every week for the last 6 months. Hoping and preying for December 3rd to arive as quick as it can so that this nightly ritual can be forgotten!
However... it was not meant to be. Destiny has made sure that this trend continues. Predicting, discussing, arguing, debating, speculating.... and doing it all over again. Every night at precicely the same time. Do you know what the textbook definition for insanity is? It's "repeating the same action over and over again while expecting a different result". While the updates themselves are always different, the reactions are always the same. Needless to say, I think we're all insane.
Well.. it's too late to be concerned with that now.... 2007 is almost gone, and Brawl is not sitting on my shelf. I think I desire the answers more than the actual game itself! We don't know if Ridley is in it at all... if Ness was replaced...the other 3rd party characters... or any other surprises. We have 2 more months to go before the game gets released.... and we're still pretty much right where we started.
Well Sakurai, I'll continue to play along. Well into Feb. 10th. And even beyond that if you really want to get serious! As long as you've got the smallest trace of information and corny Japanese humor... I'll be there. Waiting for it. Then I'll either be jumping up and down or bitching about it. And then I'll be checking if my opinion on the update matches any of the other fans who are all going through the same thing.
We all have our personal lives and our memories of 2007 will all be different. But I know we'll all remember 2007 for a game we got a whole year of fun out of without even playing it.
(I'm being over dramatic just for fun...)

NinjaRygar, that is exactly what I remember 2001 for as well. Smash Bros. Dojo had exactly the same effect on me back then as it is now - only now it's daily updates and even more crazy stuff than before!
And maybe we are all insane!!

I guess being insane is a sort of requirement for Nintendo fans. And.... given the amount of filler updates we have to endure, I'd say it's getting harder to predict them. I"d wager they'll just fill in the Veteran's Special Moves, Items (including Assists and Pokemons) and a lot more Game Mode and How to Play updates.

Looks like DiU may be hitting his stride again! He called today's update, even though he was a day off.
