Why would you NOT want them to show up? It's like saying you DON'T want trophies. It would be a spiffy extra feature to enhance the game. It wouldn't detract from anything.

Because I feel it would be. The color swap was fine because it was subtle and worked well. It showed difference between two players and thats all you need. With alt. costumes things not only become cluttered, it also takes away from the character. They lose a bit of personality. Also, ones like Wolf are just stupid

Because Captain Falcon's Blood Falcon costume really detracted from him in Melee. So did Peach's Daisy one.
SARCASM!?

It didn't just change the colours, though. The Captain Falcon emblem on Falcon's back was replaced with a Blood Falcon one, and Peach's brooch and earrings changed into Daisy's flower ones. For all intents and purposes, they became Blood Falcon and Daisy. Why couldn't Fox do the same?

Falcon don't look exactly the same. There is a change in facial features. Same for Daisy. She has shorter hair and a fatter face. By changing Fox to Wolf, your jumped out of pallett swap and into new character. Fox and Wolf don't even look remotly close. It would be hard to make Wolf another color and say it's still Fox. That's what Daisy and Blood Falcon did. Gave the character a new look yet still keeping them the character. These don't do that.

Other than the evil grin, I can't say I've noticed any difference. Blood Falcon is a DNA clone of Captain Falcon. They're identical. Same for Daisy. She has shorter hair and a fatter face. Not back when Melee was made. In SML and Mario Tennis, Peach and Daisy were basically identical except for colour, jewelry and dress designs. Daisy was more tanned than Peach back then too, which is also reflected in the Melee costume. By changing Fox to Wolf, your jumped out of pallett swap and into new character. Fox and Wolf don't even look remotly close. It would be hard to make Wolf another color and say it's still Fox. Not really. Fox and Wolf look very, very similar. Change his fur colour to grey, and it's Wolf. No other change would really be needed, but it'd be nice if they went the extra mile.
