This is so great. I've wanted a multiplayer Adventure mode for long.
Too bad Knuckle Joe is not playable =P
Intense is clearly for the British market, as the Smash logo becomes the British flag
It looks really like the Union Jack (look at the thickness of the lines), except the actual flag doesn't featue 45° angles.

Update WINZ! I was hoping for a character, but this works too. Now I can unlock stuff with my friends. I wonder what rewards Sakurai meant...more characters perhaps? Or just a lousy trophy... Probably both. I assum beating it on the hardest difficulty will reward a new character or something, as well as a better ending. |

I guess the reward would be... score. You'll get the "Very Easy Clear"~"Very Hard Clear" score at the end in SSBM right?
This update is *really* great. Although I want a revival of Super Star more than this (feel free to blame, but HAL is still owing me a Kirby GC which I want deadly - at least more than Brawl), I really appreciate Sakurai's attempt to implement Super Star elements in.

HAL always manages to bring something from Kirby Super Star. Now two people can beat the crud out of the Subspacers. Sweet!

Especially if these villainous characters are on a quest themselves, you'd think they'd have their own boss characters that are heroic--like Doshin the Giant, for example, or that Dragon girl from FE: Sacred Stones. And then there could be neutral bosses, like those red potato-looking things from Pikmin (forget what they're called?) which seem to attack indiscriminately. Also, Link and Yoshi are going to be in one team together, if the images pertaining to TSE's first post remain accurate. And who would be with Meta Knight? Fox, maybe? That's a kinky match-up. Anyway. This update ROXX0RS MY BOXX0RZ. Co-op for the win! |

Of course! Bowser has to team up with SOMEONE also. I could just see Bowser being teamed up with other Nintendo villians who are fighters and doing work for the Subspace Menece along with fighting "Heroic" Bosses, rather than "Villianous" Bosses.

I disagree there, if only for the reason that I don't think any unlockable characters will be playable in Subspace Emissary, with maybe one or two exceptions. This is because Subspace Emissary will obviously be available from the start of the game, and why would the mode let you play as characters you haven't unlocked yet? Anyways, the only villains in the starting roster are Bowser, to a lesser extent Meta Knight, and to a MUCH lesser extent Donkey Kong and Wario. And I think there are cooler potential teams than those four together.
Plus, Bowser isn't exactly a stranger to teaming up with the good guys to defeat a greater evil. Actually, he does it ALL THE TIME.

But what does tell you can't unlock a sub-mode that let you play as the villain, as if you unlock this and that character, it unlock that sub-part of the subspace emissary.. that's how I see it...
