Nah. if any British comedian gets in Brawl it needs to be Eddie Izzard. Transvestite stand-up ftw! He was right though... the moonlanding wouldn't have been nearly as impressive if Neil Armstrong had stepped out onto its surface and said "Oooh, it's all sticky! It's made of jam!" I've been listening to a lot of Ricky Gervais (The Office, Extras) podcasts recently. And his new standup show just came out. Man... nobody can do awkward comedy as well as that man right there!

I consider this move (both the normal and final versions) a homage to a Hero's critical attack in Fire Emblem...which is awesome. ^_^ I always thought it's a homage to Starlight Hit/Astra.

Well, if you eatch a Mercenary/Hero's attack in the GBA Fire Emblems, they throw their sword up in the air, leap up to catch it, then slam it into the opponent...which is an awful lot like Ike's Aether attack here. I haven't gotten all that far into Path of Radiance, so the move you mentioned is unclear to me.

Astra is a skill that gives a character the chance to do 5 strikes within 1 attack as shown in this video. In Path of Radiance, Astra got a special animation in which the performer dashes at the enemy and does 5 swift strikes, which is what Ike basically does.

It doesn't look anything like Link's FS like some people were saying. Ike is just spinning his sword around. I don't know which one is better, though.
