It may be powerful, but you can attack the soldiers, which makes for a waste of a final smash.

OK I guess.
But IMO all Final Smashes should be in a double update, preferably with music. They just arent good enough to be by themselves.

The idea is okay, but I'm not a fan of using the same things for Special Moves and Final Smashes. More variety is better in a game whose sequel won't appear in years.

The idea is that FS's kind of nerf or buff characters. Fox, who is normally speedy and small, gets a bulky and slow FS. Bowser who can take the hits but is easily comboed becomes Giga Bowser, who is far harder to KO. Likewise, Dedede (who seems to be an upclose fighter exclusively) gets an area attack that covers his ground.
Besides, people who went to E For All said Pit's FS was cheap as hell. It targets one character usually and just bombards them with Centurions, buying Pit time to start a chain of attack. And the Centurions hit hard and fast. I can definitely see the Waddle Dees, Waddle Doos, and Gordos being very similar, all bouncing out from Dedede's position to tackle other players.
