Don't you young folks know that marsh grows heaviest on the north side of the tree?

Don't you young folks know that marsh grows heaviest on the north side of the tree? It's like the scriptwriter was all 'Shit we already had one about rape and drugs I'm all out of ideas' and then was all fuck this and just wrote something down so he could go home for the day

Finally, a Pokemon that you actually have to interact with rather than just letting it do it's thing. Electrode? You can pick it up.

I can almost feel the pleasure of hurling a sturdy Bonsly. I can imagine it like a Birdo egg as NinjaRygar said, or like a Hammer's head.
If movie-debut Pokémon mean something, then the parrot Chatot is another likely addition.

Electrode? You can pick it up. A lot of people don't know that. And it's not exactly a great pickup weapon. Especially if it fails

So I know we have an Assists/Pokemon thread already, but here's some ideas I thought of:
Castform -- Changes the weather of the stage. Typically has no effect other than aesthetics. Hail causes snow; Sandstorm causes sand to blow by; Rain Dance causes a rainstorm; and Sunny Day makes the screen extra bright.
Bronzong -- Trick Room. He hangs and swings, sounding like a large bell. The screen turns a shade of blue and speeds are reversed: slow characters are fast and fast are slow!
Probopass -- Magnet Bomb. Spins the three mini-noses around his body and hovers into the air with a large metal boulder appearing beneath him. This gets hawked at a character and NEVER misses.

Probopass and the units thing is very interesting. On the subject of accuracy, Lucario's Aura Sphere could be controllable if he's a playable character.
Allow me to share these ideas:
Name: Abra Description: Abra will teleport to the nearest foe, trying to land on their head. If Abra manages to grab their head, it will try to teleport them to a random position in the stage. Relevance: Serves as a teleporter for the main character in Johto and Orre games.
Name: Xatu Description: Xatu stands looking at the camera. It waves its wings like in its 3-D signature animation. 30 seconds later, vicious multiple beams will appear from one of the sides of the stage. This is Future Sight, which was targeted at one of the characters' position before Xatu teleported away. Relevance: Key NPC in Mystery Dungeon; Pokédex entry matching its appearance.
Name: Porygon-Z Description: Porygon-Z quickly comes out of its Poké Ball, like Porygon2. This time it will also aim at an opponent and fire a Tri Attack move. Relevance: Evolved form of Porygon2 (SSBM), which in turn evolves from Porygon (SSB).
Name: Regigigas Description: Moves very slowly, extending its arms to grab and squeeze a character that comes close by. The more HP / less damage percentage, the lower is the damage. Relevance: Boss of the legendary golems; movie star.
Name: Shadow Lugia Description: Shadow Lugia flies to the foreground (sometimes covering part of the screen), and, after targeting an opponent of the summoner, it will start firing a vicious Shadow Blast attack at the stage. Relevance: Individual Lugia that is the main plot of a game and appears on its cover. Represents special Pokémon from two GCN games.

I could have sworn that this update was #175: Bosley.
Interesting. But nothing huge (like being able to look at pictures and tell if your Screen Mode is correct)

I think this is a pretty neat addition to the collection of Poke Ball Pokemon...it serves a neat function. Outside of hitting away Cyndaquil or Chansey or picking up Electrode, this is one of the first interactive Pokemon. It'll be fun tossing him around Awesome ideas, there, Flip and Johans. I'll post some of my own when I get around to it.

I like it. I usually don't like Pokeball updates, but this is at the least a new way to use it. And Dunsparce is the worst GSC Pokemon. No two ways about it.

Sorry about my shortshort post earlier, I was making it before heading out to work.
Anyway, I stand by what everyone else in favor of Bonsly has said so far; this one is interesting because it's the first Pokémon you can 100% freely interact with. You don't even have to suffer from Electrode's time limit, which is very nice. Usually Pokéball updates don't thrill me because, new monster or not, it's doing something we've seen in the past, so this one was a very nice surprise with nifty screenshots.
Who would have thought Bonsly was so small compared to Diddy?
