"Ice Climber" (1:10) Click here to listen. Composition Supervisor: Akito Nakatsuka Arrangement Supervisor: Toshiyuki Sudo• The copyright for this music is held by Nintendo. • Check your volume settings. The Summit is a stage that changes when the mountain peak cracks and pops off.
This song plays on that stage, and it puts the short phrases of the original to work, changing the atmosphere dramatically as the stage changes. It’s impressive!
Unfortunately, however, the timing of the phrases shifts during Slow Brawls. Please forgive that.

Hey, it's the Everybody Votes Channel guy! Ha.
It's both cool that they found a way to reuse the Ice Climber soundtrack and make it sound unique again, and disappointing that Sakurai's decided to show us a song that won't be half as cool until we're playing the actual game. You tease, Sakurai!

'Unfortunately, however, the timing of the phrases shifts during Slow Brawls. Please forgive that.' Wouldn't pausing the game mess up the timing aswell? Doesn't matter, it's friggen Ice Climber rock

What a crazy arrangement. It invites to have a quick fight, almost as if the stage came from a racing game.

It a great arrangement, with all it's little beeps and stuff at the start and it's great to hear the parts of the original theme in it as well.

Can anybody make out the voices in the begining?

I'd take the Melee Ice Climber music over this anyday. It's just too jazzy and fast paced for my liking.

Can anybody make out the voices in the begining? I think they are just random noises that sound like voices, but the only things I could make out were "Hi guys" and concendently "Ice Climbers." But any suggestion of a voice or sound will make other hear it too, because the brain is trying to heat for voices or somthing. This is just like that whole "there are faces in the clouds are thing" in the "This world . . ." update a while back. This is how that whole electroinc voice phomemna (EVP) works people think they hear voices on electroinc recoredings when you place them in places that are have ghosts and hear them speak on the recordings when it's just random garbed noises and background junk.

I like the song; it's a good arrangement. I notice that Akito Nakatsuka worked on the 2002 remake of Ice Climbers, but Toshiyuki Sudo hasn't worked on any of the games.

Hey, it's cool. It's has very exciting twists and a new flavor on this classic and (let's put it like this) "boring" original piece.

Hmmmm. Maybe the parts of the song change as the mountain moves. The fast rock part must be when it's falling, and the end is when it's in the water. That might be what he means with it being different in slow brawls.
Still, this is pretty flipin' crazy.

It's probably is a voice just speaking nonsense most of the time. I heard it and made out the same two phrases before reading you're post. That put's it at about 60% chance I believe.
