It looks like Brawl may have gone GOLD on us There is a Japanese site that has the info. It looks like this waiting might be over. The newest Smash game, which we have been waiting for for 6 years, is complete.

Wait, what does this mean? Could it come out earlier in Japan? Wait...maybe not...

No, most games do usually go gold the month before release.
So . . . December the game goes gold and in Janurary it gets released (in Japan).

Gold just means production can begin. Basically, the game is complete so they can start manufacturing it. I suspect that may be the theme of tonight's update...?
Damn you, Sakurai. I could be playing the FULL game now, but I can't because there's only a few copies of it around *sobs*
Note to Board: Expect spoilers over the next few weeks, as early as this one. Now that the game is complete, hobo will really start to hit the fan.

Now's the time to eject from the Internet, if you don't want Brawl spoiled. Sadly, with Brawl in the presses, there will be no last-minute Mega Man addition.

They already use WiiConnect24 for daily stages and photos, maybe videos (I completely forgot we could do that in Brawl , but I can't see characters. MAYBE something in the Wii Shop Channel, but a free download is beyond question. Patches are free, but expansions tend not to be. And I'd imagine downloadable characters to fall into the realm of expansions. $5 for Mega Man?

Downloadable expansions and maybe patches would be incredibly awesome, but since the Wii lacks a big enough harddrive for expansions I don't think they'll do it.

This article about WiiConnect24 just yesterday on N-Sider.com. Talking about how WiiConnect24 is unutilised. The article has this quote from Satoru Iwata at E3 2006 Also the artcile brings up a point on SSBB stage sharing and etc. Did anyone else realise this?

Ugh... Nintendo. I love that you bother to implement online, but you really go too far sometimes and never come back.

NinDB will probably be safe. A lot of us are trying to stear(spelling?) clear of spoilers so you'll probably be safe posting here.
