Yeah, I am confused as to who the final unlockable character is... Wolf or Black Shadow? Some are saying its fake but done with mad photoshopping skills or something... so who knows? I think it is a bit silly to make a Star Fox character or a F-Zero character the final unlockable character. Mr. Game & Watch was a great final unlockable because he was unexpected in Melee. JMO.

Black Shadow would be the best best final unlockable ever. ;D I'd totally tap that. But there's no doubt about it: it's either an F-Zero character (Black Shadow, Deathborn?), a Star Fox character (more likely; Wolf, Krystal?) or a character unaligned with any previous franchise (zomg Takamaru??). Only time will tell, but time can't pass fast enough X(

It'll never be Takamaru. Chances for ANYTHING Nazo dropped to ZERO when we all found that odd Sakurai comment specifically calling out the game/character for being "highly unlikely to ever appear again."

I guess despite 7 years of fan input he still can't do EVERYTHING, which is understandable. But the amount of people who wanted Geno, Takamaru, Ridley, Krystal, etc.... it was phenomenal.

You know that Mario Bros. stage? I wonder if that has anything to do with that rumored History of Nintendo stage? The one where the stage takes you through various classic games like Mario Bros., Balloon Fight, etc.? If that is the case, I hope Duck Hunt is a stage there, at least.

boy, Wolf really doesn't deserve that last character spot. :< (ROB totally deserves a spot, though, despite THE INTERNET'S objections to him.)

the roster as a whole is great anyway, but the unlockable characters are really underwhelming.

if I could add four more characters, I'd go with a Wars series rep, MEWTWO, Sukapon, and that guy from F-Zero who looks like Batman.

Four more characters, huh? I'd go with the most likely and fitting choices, not just personal favorites...

Takamaru, Krystal (instead of Wolf), Black Shadow and...um...someone else.

...I like the characters, but COME ON! STILL clones? So much potential. Well, that wasn't fun.

EDIT: Something just doesn't really add up. The new roster has the same amount as Melee's. That just doesn't make much sense. And he is only half way through. Is it possible that there could be more? Could the roster mugshots shrink? Even Sakurai couldn't be THAT skimpy.

1. Team Rocket (from Pokemon Yellow) - Jesse and James stay in the background like Pokemon Trainer and the main Pokemon is Meowth... and Meowth can be teamed up with either Ekans or Koffing (a la Ice Climbers) similar to Double Battles introduced in Ruby/Sapphire for different movesets but they all have the same Final Smash.... down special to switch between Ekans and Koffing.... that would be an interesting cross between Pokemon Trainer and Ice Climbers

2. Hunting Dog (from Duck Hunt) - if R.O.B. never fought and still made the cut in Brawl, then maybe the dog should be in, too; he would hide in the bush all the times, and carries the bush with him like in a Looney Tunes cartoon whenever he moves around and shoots with the Zapper, uses ducks to fly and counter-attack, and throw clay pigeons

3. Muddy Mole (from Mole Mania) - yes, another WTF character... like Olimar depends on his Pikmin to be successful, Muddy depends on his holes to be successful... he would dig a hole and use it to pull out iron balls to toss and kick at enemies and burrow underground to sink enemies like the Pitfall item; he could use his red scarf for his tether recovery

4. Smasher (from Animal Crossing) - the male human villager with the made-up name to go with the made-up name for his village... he would use his net to catch projectiles and release them as bees, use his fishing rod to tether recover and grab enemies, use the shovel to make pitfalls, and shield himself with the umbrella.. he should have been the representative for Smashville.
