*shrug* Maybe it's just me, then. As soon as I read it I knew it could only be Lucario, even without having seen it do it in the movie. Its ability to read auras to tell who its enemies are is its main gimmick. You're the most intelligent person around, then.

Its probably not something that someone would know if they didnt know about Pokémon. I barely knew who Lucario was before Brawl. Same goes for the majority of current generation Pokémon, I don't really like the series anymore but I do like their appearance in Smash games.

It could've been any character. Hell, even Ganondorf or Zelda...

Well... yeah, it could've been any character. But since one of them has a canonical history of it, then... well, it'd be odd if it was someone with no history of it instead. Having an unusual method of telling friends from enemies is, after all, the only thing that makes Lucario unique. Apparently I've offended some of you, though? Well... sorry. I still think it was blindingly obvious myself, but I wasn't trying to insult you guys. I just thought you were being a bit silly guessing at various other characters with Lucario sitting right there. Reminds me of a scene in Futurama, where Fry says he needs someone good at bending, then asks Leela even though Bender's sitting right there.

There are a bunch of possibilities. I've played Pokemon Pearl, but I had no idea Lucario could sense auras. All I thought he could do was throw bones.

The thing is that it's obvious to you because you are knowledgeable about Pokemon. Not everyone is, so what's obvious to you may not be obvious to everyone. It's just slightly demeaning that you're essentially like "Um, DUH guys. Don't be stupid." But NP, now we know you didn't mean for it to seem that way. Though "blindingly obvious" does make it sound like you kind of did. Oh well, whichever.

Check the JP version, Meta's gasp is the Japanese seiyuu's pitch. But Marth's stays the same. Glimmer of hope for Marth's OAV seiyuu's fans for his work, like me. He's too fantastic to replace. Since he's spoken Japanese in Melee, almost exactly the same amount of lines.

Pokemon is just as big a part of Nintendo as any of the other franchises. I also happened to think that the hint was obvious, for I made sure to learn about the background of each of our fighters.

Marth will very likely stay Japanese, but what of Ike? He has Japanese taunts too I believe, but I'd so rather have an English speaker for his voice. Supposedly we have Meta's Seiyuu speaking English for us this time around, so he keeps his "Batman" voice. Yay!
