Quite significantly. Lucario starts as pretty weak with low hit distance, but the power will go up with the damage meter up. Attack power will be maxed at 200% damage (still not capable for super effective one-hit KOs), but by then poor Luario is as easy to be beaten...
... This is what I heard. I've never played the game or see Lucario in action clearly, so I can't say anything definite.

Hm...some interesting details I didn't know about Lucario today. Maybe it'll be worth giving Luccy a go when I unlock it.

I'm calling Lucario a "she" because Lucario got tate-rolled hair, very feminine (anime) eyes, also, they bescrive Lucario's moves as "Graceious". But that is'nt that big of a reason, but still, You just basically described Saki...'cept with slightly different hair. He has a gruff, manly voice.

I actually may use Lucario more than expected. He/she seems pretty decent

Also, her appearence looks a bit like a poodles appearence, what with the thicker fur areas, contra the thinner areas. poodles are male half the time!

I have no doubt Lucario will be a good character, but I still don't understand why it's there... Well, it is the DP poster boy... it's been given a major role in the anime and games since even before Diamond and Pearl came out.

Niceness! ;D I've been waiting for this update! And no, I'm not avoiding spoilers. /pointsouttheobvious
And why wait so long to make an update for Lucario, Sakurai? Less wanters?
And I've been using bold on another site, and it's become quite a habit, so I'll transferr that to here. We all have to have something diferrent about us, and I..well... let's just say I fit in too well. People never notice my posts.

I still don't think this mechanic is worth bumping Mewtwo, but hey, what do I know, right? I'm still gonna play as the homeskillet.

If Lucario's a girl then that anime voice is very very deep and masculine for odd reasons. It's a male if anything. Don't judge on appearances; Don't go up to big bulky women and call them men?
The Mewtwo and Lucario in Smash both seem to be the anime ones, but the rest are probably game-related ones (Pikachu might be the anime too). Red in Brawl looks like the game one but someone said it might also be a ref to the manga that is very true to the games.

Also, SHE? I see no breastesess. Girl Lucarios should have two chest spikes instead of one. ^_^

I think Lucario is going to be the best for those players who just won't die. If you can live at high damages and still kick butt, then Lucario is your character.

Lucario sounds pretty interesting to play with. It got Mewtwo's old standard special... but that's it. The other moves are pretty okay but its up special sounds like Pikachu's up special and its down special sounds like Meta Knight's down special. At least it is not 100% clone or even a semi-clone (I am looking at you Falco and Wolf). It seems to me that Lucario replaced Mewtwo and Pichu since it is the most recent movie Pokemon who happens to be wildly popular. I wouldn't be surprised if Lucario were to be replaced by another overrated 5th or 6th gen movie Pokemon in SSB4.

Meta-Knights moves and attacks (like a parry). Lucario's just hits you.
