No, the greatest reference to Kid Icarus is the way he uses the Hammer. It's the same way two frames as the ones he uses to save the Centurions, and it's awesome.

That's true. But that was a general given. I actually expected that to be his side B, a squeaky mildly effective hammer. But yeah, I love the hammer thing. More than Pit being able to shoot light arrows upwards.
Kohta, Sakurai stated Sora will be a freelance company for hire. No specific future at the moment.
Oh, and according to Nintendo Power, something interesting to note that I never thought of: Sonic's basic attacks are based on moves in Virtua Fighter. I was assuming Sonic Battle, never thought of other Sega games.

I knew his wind up punch was, but didn't know about the others. What others are taken from Sonic the Fighters?

Pretty sure the grabs are, as well as the different spin attacks.

Yeah, after a quick YouTube search, it appears one of his grabs, his up throw, is taken from Sonic the Fighters. Not sure about anything else. youtube.com/watch?v=Pf4msgD77OABonus: This is the first game Amy had her Pico Pico Mallet.
