Apparently playing a PAL Mariokart Wii on a NTCS console makes the special downloadable MK channel corrupt and won't allow me to use the handy Wii-code friend-code swap thingy system. Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngh. Anyway my Mariokart Wii code seems to be: 1418 - 7390 - 4939 Added everyone in this thread (including you Flint) and politely asking everybody to post their friendcodes anyway so I can see you people online aswell

Added everyone. I did play Sam and he kicked the crap out of me. Well, they were usually close.
EDIT:Pretty much raging right now from mario Kart. Serious item rape. I'd get in first or second and then IMIDIATLY either get pounded or everyone else gets a good item. Almost won Luigi Circuit till a lone green shell hits me.

I have everyone's code that has been posted here.
@ Smashchu, was that the match me and Flint were in? The online in MK Wii is tarting to get annoying, why is it that when I get third I lose points? With my score of somewhere near 7500, am I forced to get a first or second placing everytime to gain points based on my score?

With my score of somewhere near 7500, am I forced to get a first or second placing everytime to gain points based on my score? Yeah, it was. Got creamed those matches. As far as the point, what you gain is based on your rank and how many points the other players have. If you lose to someone who has 8000 it won't hurt as bad as someone with 5000. As such, beat someone ith 9000 and you'll get more points. Pretty much, as you go up, the harder it is to do so. I'm guessing 9999 is the cap (NOTE: It works in reverse). Did Tetris DS work like this? EDIT:Odd. I don't have Flint. I have his code and played with him but he's not on my list. Also, one of the coolest things about the online: Time Trials. I love seeing how my friends and I stack up to each other.

Added 8-Bit to my list. Personally, I just keep an item in back of me to not get creamed by Red and Green Shell and wheelie/stunt with the third POW Block hit. I also get the heck out of the path of Mega Mushroom, Bullet Bill and Starman users. As for the dreaded Blue Shell, I just try to park in a safe spot to get hit, since it's going to hit anyway. Most everything else is pretty easy to dodge if you keep an eye out. Remember to always place the Bananas and Fake Item Boxes in groups of Item Boxes and where people land. EDIT: On closer inspection, the Blue Shell, Red Shell, Disconnect Combo hurts the most. 300 Points down the drain.

Has anyone here managed to succefully dodge a POW block by hopping yet? I know it's possible but I still have not managed do it yet.

I did it once, quite by accident.

I don't have the game yet but my roommate does. I unlocked basically everything for him. I'm going to copy the file over to my Wii and hopefully find the game for cheap somewhere, somehow. Then I will be on Wi-Fi.

Aren't savefiles linked to the Wii this time around though? Like the savefile only works on the Wii it originated from. Or am I mixing it up with VC save data.
I saw plenty of angry internet posts about it anyway.

OK, I will add everyone's code tonight, here's mine: 0688-6062-5412
I'll also try and find out everyone else's codes via the Mario Kart channel as well, so I get to play all of y'all.
I've been holding off until I could easily do the tricks, and practice certainly makes perfect eventually!

Umm Old Man Rupee, you can edit posts... Added you and your sister, though.
Oh and saves for Online games are unmovable, Channel Data only works on the Wii it was downloaded to, all other saves except maybe third-party ones can be moved, including VC Saves.

I added you (and your sister) about 7 hours ago. Before I even registered both you, there was a girl (who I would assume is your sister) on the "friends" section of the time trials online rankings that was not there before.
I'll mention people who I have added in my signiture for the future.
