I've always wondered, If Warioware was part of the Marioverse?
Because of this, I wanted to make a poll about it, hearing the comments from the denizens of NinDB, plus the reactions from
Warioware, WarioLand fans would be great.
Here are some Information that would help you peeps decide on the poll ( correct me if my info is wrong, or add if i lack)
Warioware Exists in the Marioverse because:
1. Wario's in the Marioverse, why shouldn't his friends be in as well?
2. Wario was seen in his plumber attire at the very first cinematic of
Warioware Inc Mega Microgame$
3. Wario's bike appearing in Mario Kart Wii
4. Wario's car and bike( The car seen outside of Warioware) were designed by Dr Crygor a Warioware character.
5. Diamond city race track appearing in Mario Kart GP, including the appearance of the logo of Prof Egad the nutty prof from Luigi's Mansion, and the magic paintbrushes used by Bowser Jr in Super Mario sunshine in the course itself.
6. Mona, a character from the Warioware series is seen wearing Wario's plumber attire, an attire only seen being worn by Wario in the Mario games ( excluding the cinematic intro of Warioware inc mega microgame$), additionally her bio states that she has tagged along on some of his money grubbing adventures, whether the said adventures were done outside the confines of diamond city, or are they Warioland- ish, is not stated.
7. The possible presence of Diamond city, appearing in the
Intro of Wario
land 4 (1:05)
8. The Warioware logo appearing in some of Mario's spin off sports
titles eg: The Wario factory court in Mario Power tennis, additionaly
a picture of him in his biker attire is seen in the
stage selection screen 0:01.
9. The bio of Wario in Mario superstar baseball says: "According to Wario, he's both Mario's rival and a childhood friend. He actually runs his own video-game company and has produced many hot sellers. Garlic is Wario's favorite food. It may lead to his incredible stamina, which makes him excellent at daring plays."
10. His brawl Bio: "Mario's self-styled rival. He loves money and gross humor. He often sets out in search of hidden treasure. His bold moves come from his superhuman strength and are completely different from Mario's moves. Aside from adventuring, he's also the chairman of game maker WarioWare, Inc. Its franchise game is WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$".
This is all I could remember for the pro section.
Warioware Doesn't exist in the Mario world because:
1. Wario's logo in Brawl is not the mushroom symbol as seen
with Mario characters, possibly Nintendo's view towards the
separation of the franchize.
2. The absence of any Mario Character whatsoever ( asides from Wario and the microgames)
3. The absence of any Warioland character whatsoever (not even syrup, rudy, tatanga, golden diva, the lovely princess Shokora!, or even the long forgotten fairy sprite of a character known as Wanda!).
4. The fact that 9-volt is aware that he is in a videogame, same goes to Cranky kong of the DK series.
5. The use of completely new characters, Nintendo couldv'e used characters from Wario's woods, instead they create completely new ones. A good example is Sarissa, a young witch with a cheerful personality who is already in Wario's arsenal before Ashley ever appeared. Another includes
Dr Scienstein, a mad scientist, and a perfect Dr Crygor substitute.
6.
The Map seen in Warioware Touched! shows that the land is indeed earth instead of the mushroom world ( although If the mushroom world is indeed located on Earth, is unknown to me, nor if the map is just a stolen artifact)
7. The many claims of Warioware characters talking about Earth,
Mona: " Earth looks so pretty from up here....", and the other
statements from Orbulon, claiming to save/conquer it.
8. The reluctance of Nintendo to include the Warioware characters
in present spin offs.
9. The absence of Waluigi, despite the fact he is considered Wario's sidekick outside the Warioware series
10. Mario kart GP being developed by Namco and not Nintendo can also mean the presence of E Gadd, and the brushes can be a mistake.
Well there you have it!!, some facts that I know that supports both sides of the argument. So peeps comment and poll away!!
And one last thing, DOES WARIO OWN DIAMOND CITY!? or atleast is he Mayor?, I saw this info listed in the Diamond city page from gamehiker wiki, I actually find it completely absurd, since Wario has not once been shown ruling over the people of Diamond city ( the only time I've seen him rule over something is in Super Mario Land 6 golden coins and Wario's woods), but since gamehiker wiki does have reputable reputation, i might be wrong...
