As most people agree the Donkey Kong Country Series was great but in Brawl Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong just plain suck in Brawl. They are not properly balanced.

Not balanced? Diddy may be fast, but he lacks killing moves. He can rack up damage, but not kill. I'm not sure I disagree on DK, though... He's fast, strong and can easily KO. He does have a FS that audibly sucks, however.

I agree that Diddy kinda sucks, but DK. If you're looking for a character that really sucks, try playing as Snake... I never know what crazy world you live in. Diddy and Snake are some of the deadliest characters in Smash. DK is just...well... he's not very good. |

Donkey Kong should hurl coconuts... He has used coconuts before and after Donkey Kong Country. Not sure if that would make him better, though.

Diddy and Snake are some of the deadliest characters in Smash. DK is just...well... he's not very good. DK is still a beast. He's actually a character that plays like he did in Melee. |

DK is still a beast. He's actually a character that plays like he did in Melee. Which isn't necessarily a good thing. His attacks are all too slow and his specials are just souped up "A" attacks. At least Diddy had special moves that were, well...special. He had a jetpack, Peanut popguns, and banana peels. And as Johans pointed out, why couldn't DK get the Coconut Shooter? |

I think this post goes to prove one thing. The characters are extremely balanced - it's the PLAYERS who are unbalanced. Seriously. Diddy and DK are two of my favourite characters simply because they are so balanced. Donkey Kong is the only huge character fast enough to land blows, but his reaction to attacks is compromised somewhat. Diddy isn't particularly strong, but he can rack up damage quickly and his specials aren't that great.
And the fact that Nenson started this thread on a negative, I'm guessing he thinks they both suck. Which just goes to show how much Nenson sucks.
I think this game is possibly more balanced than any of the others. Every character has obvious strengths and weaknesses.

If you're looking for a character that really sucks, try playing as Snake... You're doing it wrong. Oh so wrong. Both of the monkey men suck, but DK sucks extra hard. Snake, however, rocks. |

Diddy has no killing moves? I can kill people with him just by cartwheeling them a few times and then side smashing them. He's one of the characters I find the best, which is funny because I wasn't that interested in him originally.

I always play characters with good Smash attacks rather than relying on Specials, which means I enjoy Diddy and DK. Good recovery helps too.

Donkey Kong and Diddy do not suck. They're 2 of my best characters. No offense to any here, but maybe it is you who sucks when using DK and Diddy.
