The RPG battle stuff, while very interesting, isn't a cameo. The Toad, etc., on the other hand, are.

It is a system cameo, just not a Nintendo system cameo.

Well it's not a cameo, but it's very cool anyway. I wouldn't have noticed.

It is a cameo. It's a cameo of the RPG genre and now I have confirmation that it's a cameo of certain Mac operating systems (whereas before I had to merely guess).
Cheers Megabyte! Ignore that lot. Moaning bastards.

Fine, but it it has that mac OS X Window, so it is sort of a cameo. It was done to give it more RPG style.although I am still not sure about the toad thing now.

That's a very good question. Doesn't look like we're getting it over the holiday season. I do wonder why Kirby games take so long to localise.

A former employee of Nintendo of Europe in Germany who worked there until 2001 told me by eMail that they even considered not to sell Kirby games in Germany anymore because they sold too badly there. I guess what goes for Germany goes for Europe in a whole. That might also be a reason why they didn't translate the screentext of any Kirby game into other languages (except for Kirby's Adventure into French and German) for Europe until 2003 (Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land). Okay, many Kirby games don't have much text, but Kirby Super Star/Kirby's Fun Pak did actually deserve to be translated into French and German. But probably not because of bad sales.
I wonder if it will be called Kirby Super Star Ultra or Kirby's Fun Pak Ultra here?

Clearly, to Nintendo of Europe, Kirby games have more text than Fire Emblem games. Oh dear.
