People are whining too much, mostly because they've only heard the first song, which is the least good sounding of the game (sorry, typing "worst" would imply that the others are also bad). Actually, it is my belief that the karate one is awesome. I have made a rip of the game's music, and you can also find the OST if you look around. It's higher quality and includes the music from both games, but my gamerip also has a couple ditties not in there. God, I'm such an attention whore.

No the cheer leading one sucks too.
Generally the whole soundtrack sounds better in Japanese. I admit the guys didn't do a terrible job in English.

Looks like Rhythm Heaven is coming to Australia/NZ before the end of April and is apprantly the NA version of the game, while this game gets released in Europe on May 1st as Rhythm Paradise.
I still find it odd they had to change the name by one word for the European release, RP would have been a great name for a third game in this series.

I know I'll get a certain kind of looks by posting this, but here goes: The European version is out there. It's on a card twice the size of the American version and only contains three languages instead of five. Each language actually has its own dub. The songs, the voices and even the "ichi, ni, san"/"one, two three" mixed into the Guitar Lesson BGM (the link is Drum Lesson, but it still works for the example). The game contains English, French and German, so I'm guessing an Italian/Spanish version will come later. By the way, the credits list an U.K. English translator, so may want to keep an eye open for any british, because all the game descriptions are still the same.

Wow, the French versions are so much better (except the Frog one) The lady singers are far more enthusiastic when they sing than they do in English.
German... ehhh. Its a pretty ugly language to me. I can't enjoy a song with all those ahks and ooks.

Look like they put English into the Italian/Spanish version in order to have something to default to in case the DS is set to say, Japanese. Or at least that's my belief. The entire pack of dubbed songs, including a cheesy album title I came up with.

I don't know how...but I have finished the game completly after getting it about 2 months ago...in English too. A Friend lent it to me, and well, I haven't given it back yet. lol. Actually, I really enjoyed it, you can really tell that it was created by WarioWare. Has anybody else got it?
EDIT: Oh, I see the dates of these posts. My mistake. lol

Have recently got this amazing game and I'm currently at the second version of the table tennis game (of course, tons of "Superbs" and "Perfects" are still left). The game is so much fun, and the music is catchy, I will probably import the GBA Rhythm Tengoku in the future. Love the randomness that I know from WarioWare, it's clear that the same graphic desginers (Ko Takeuchi in particular) worked on this game. You might take a look at other character design independent of Nintendo by Kokoksac (design studio of Takeuchi and his wife). Ko Takeuchis's style is easily recognizeable there (you'll even see an Ashley-look-a-like): dolphin-island.way-nifty.com/blog/2009/05/index.htmlwww.editmode-works.com/ko_takeuchi/I have yet to understand what Dolphin Island actually is, though... I still find it odd they had to change the name by one word for the European release, RP would have been a great name for a third game in this series. It could also be because of trademark issues. Look like they put English into the Italian/Spanish version in order to have something to default to in case the DS is set to say, Japanese. Or at least that's my belief.. You're probably right. There is either only one language or multiple languages with English as the default one, the latter one is mostly the case (I'm not sure about English Training and similar games, though).

I bought this yesterday and quickly discovered I have no rhythm. But I'm digging it. I'm up to the monkey cheersquad game, currently.

That does it. Ko Takeuchi is now one of my favorite artists ever. I think that Dolphin Island thingie is the blog for this site. Everybody in Japan with a homepage has a blog, and there's also people with a blog and no homepage. Back on track, that bastard Tsunku just went and made my rip of the song dubs useless. July 29th. Full versons, please. That'd be really great. I doubt, it, though.

So far, I played through more than half of the game. I beat the regular game (means at least OK rank in all rhythm games and remixes). Still around a dozen of medals missing, and a lot of Perfects, and have yet to win any band contest. It's fun to just play a mini-game again even if I already bet it, I wouldn't be against another sequel of this gem. I also think the German localization, including the voices, is well-made. Have yet to compare it to the Japanese original, but overall I like it more than the English version. My favourite song in the game is that from Frog Hop ("Frog 'n' Roll" in German), the German singing and lyrics are very nice. Maybe the songs will even appear soon in... Korean? Under a title that is officially translated as "Rhythm World", the game will be released on September 24 this year in South Korea.
