Well, I came across this moment:
I bought Fire Emblem 10. I wanted it along with 9, but it seems that FE9 is now extinct; the success of Wii did bring back a few GC titles back to the shelf over here, but in FE's case... well, blame Mario and Zelda for stealing all the fame over here!
When I started viewing the opening cinema, I felt smething wrong. Things are stretched out in a funny manner in this game... and then comes the shocking truth: FE10 has no 16:9 support.
And further playing suggests that INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS didn't do much on porting the game... they just turned the game into Wii format (Let's be thankful that it no longer occupies your GC Memory Card), added two new control schemes, added a title image (for Wii Menu) that doesn't even have a 16:9 version and call that a Wii game.
Man, I'd be happier if the game stayed GC. That way, at least I can have a chance to exclaim "hey, nice graphics there!"... If you play the game with your GC controller, it would feel no difference at all!
Look at this and Wario Ware Smooth Moves. What is INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS possibly be thinking about?
Well, is all other Nintendo-published Wii titles 16:9 enabled? I recall 480p-enabled as a standard ever since Luigi's Mansion (although ome modern-day third party games, like Metal Slug Anthology, still support no 480p support), so no worries at that; but 16:9 support is something relatiely new...

lol 16:9
But seriously, the only other games that do it are Mario Party 8 and Wario Land Shake It!. The rest are fine as far as I know.

FE 10 also has quick saves that make the game a lot more playable than its presdecesors.

FE10 was designed for the Wii. Go buy FE9 on eBay, it's worth every penny.
Honestly, does every game need to be motion controller? How we gonna have F-Zero, huh? You plan to turn with the remote and not crash? Good luck. >_>

lol 16:9 But seriously, the only other games that do it are Mario Party 8 and Wario Land Shake It!. The rest are fine as far as I know. I recall Mario Party 8 with 16:9 suport, but that's only in the menu. In-game the screen will be decorated with cyan frames, which is annoying as it's too bright and distracting. (the best kid of "frame" would be wholly black) FE 10 also has quick saves that make the game a lot more playable than its presdecesors. Huh? How? I've been missing this ever since FE4. FE10 was designed for the Wii. Go buy FE9 on eBay, it's worth every penny. Not immediately after buying 2 games just before. While games cost less in my region (Hong Kong), it's still not like if they're for free! (Not counting pirated ones; but as long as when it concerns modern consoles I want to go with genuine software.) Although, if by some means it's made avalible to me some later date... I might buy it. Just hope it's not too hard for me... Honestly, does every game need to be motion controller? No, but does the game use other feature that requires a Wii? Capacity exceeding 1.5GB? Detailed 3D rivalling that of Brawl and Galaxy? Internet connection? By making it a GC game, it would mean players without a Wii but has a GC can enjoy it. Although that also means non-GC Wii owners need an extra controller. How we gonna have F-Zero, huh? You plan to turn with the remote and not crash? Good luck. >_> I'm sure it'll work out. If there are people playing Mario Kart Wii online with 3 stars + golden Wii Wheel, there'll be people awesome enough to handle it well. As for the responsive problem, use WiiMotionPlus!

Huh? How? I've been missing this ever since FE4. I cant remember exactly how (and since my brother lent the game to a friend I cant check right now) but you can save after every turn and if you screw up, you can return to that save (just dont forget to save often) as far as I remember the option was near as the bottom of the menu that you can call anywhere while you move your troops.

To do Quick Saves:Just go to the small pop up menu and click save. You do it just like other FE games, just now it wont send you to the title screen.

F-Zero and motion control won't work, even with Motion Plus... Miyamoto said himself if a new F-Zero game ever came it'd use the Classic Controller.

Yeah.... I couldn't have imagined how could things get off-topic so quickly... I guess Shiggy said that with the sheer speed of F-Zero machines in mind. To do Quick Saves:Just go to the small pop up menu and click save. You do it just like other FE games, just now it wont send you to the title screen. Now the question: Will the game save automatically that whenever I die and reset, the first thing I'll see is the character gettng killed again? If that's the case this would make this game no different from others. And will I have the death records recorded? I recall death records cannot be deleted by simply loading a previous save.

If you have the Japanese version of RD you can't battlesave. It was only added when the game got translated.
The battlesave works like using a save state with an emulator. It stops at the point you save, and you reload from that point as well. It's not like the quicksave from the GBA games.

Thanks for the info. I play the Japanese version, so.... gah, there's some glitches in the game where they're not in the overseas version, it has no 16:9 support as pposed to the verseas one, and now this saving problem?
I guess one of IntSys's goal is to make gamer's lives harder. Well, FE10 is, I heard, esay enough.

Huh, another poster returns from death. Welcome back, Leon. Another FE fan, yay!
But YL, is the game good despite those (minor) flaws?

Dasher Misire:
I'm only up to Part 1 Chapter 2 (time stolen by Brawl) so I can't tell; but from the beginning, I'd say it's a decent game.
In in-game terms you've got good units to use (although the big rule of lord=weak is still there), and I heard that pretty much anyone could have the stats maxed with bonus EXP used; in presentation terms it has got a big load of cinematics that will make you amused; and the in-game graphic is pretty decent.
I do research before buying a game, looking at how much contents does the game have, watching gamepay vid and, given the chance, try it (in someone else's home - I know someone who plays a lot of pirated games) beforehand. As such, if a game is noticeably crappy, like the bad physics of Super Paper Mario, I'll be unlikely to buy it unless the game is also noticeably affordable.
I've got some historical data and discovered that FE10 was meant for Wii from the start. In that case... why would it still look like a GC game in every aspect? I guess it should at least use the pointer as in Famicom Wars DS!
Leon:
I don't know whether you cared, but I meant to say that in my last post: Congrats on your 100th post!

Battle saves and 16:9 support have been added to the English version of Radiant Dawn. And Wario Land does have 16:9 support, it's just that the sides are used for info on how much treasure you collected, etc.
And Dasher Misire, Radiant Dawn would be the best Fire Emblem out there if it weren't for a few character balance issues.
