How do you like your "My Music"?

Here's to getting into which songs you set on each stage the most often and what-not. (You can name those in the Melee stages if you want to though, but I never play on 'em)

BATTLEFIELD
Menu (SSBM) is the highest for me. Battlefield Ver. 2 is medium, and all others are really low.

FINAL DESTINATION
Giga Bowser (Melee) is my top choice, others are just at various random lower frequencies.

DELFINO PLAZA
Delfino Plaza is the top pick here. All other are at about 80%.

LUIGI'S MANSION
Castle/Boss Fortress (SMW/SMB3) is my top pick. Luigi's Mansion Theme and Airship Theme (SMB3) are at 50%. Both Tetris themes are off.

MUSHROOMY KINGDOM (OVERWORLD)
Ground Theme 1(SMB) is at 70%, while Ground Theme 2 (SMB) is on top and Gritzy Desert is off.

MUSHROOMY KINGDOM (UNDERGROUND)
Only Underground Theme (SMB) is on here, the other two are off.

MARIO CIRCUIT
All of the Mario Kart-related ones are at the highest, while the other three: Mario Tennis/Mario Golf, Excite Truck, and Title (3D Hot Rally) are low (roughly 20%).

RUMBLE FALLS
Jungle Level Ver. 2 is my top choice for this one, but others are just random (can't really decide here).

BRIDGE OF ELDIN
Hidden Mountain & Forest is the top one, but again here, all others are random.

PIRATE SHIP
The Great Sea and Dragon Roost Island are on top here, but all others are rather low.

NORFAIR
Norfair is my top pick. Main Theme (Metroid) is at 60%, other Metroid themes are low, and Battle Scene/Final Boss (Golden Sun) and Marionation Gear are off.

FRIGATE ORPHEON
Opening/Menu (Metroid Prime) and Multiplayer (Metroid Prime 2) are on top, but all others are off.

YOSHI'S ISLAND
Wildlands and Flower Field are on top, but the others are at 50%.

HALBERD
GTFO, Forest/Nature Area. Enough said.

LYLAT CRUISE
Corneria is my top pick, while all others are low (some off, too).

POKéMON STADIUM 2
Pokémon Main Theme and Pokémon Gym/Evolution are on top, but the others are at roughly 40%.

SPEAR PILLAR
Team Galactic Battle! is on top here, but the others are at 5-10%.

PORT TOWN AERO DIVE
Mute City and Planet Colors are on top, Fire Field and White Land are at 20%, and all others are off.

CASTLE SIEGE
All of them are at about 80-90%.

WARIOWARE, INC.
WarioWare, Inc. is on top, WarioWare, Inc. Medley is at 10%. The songs with lyrics are at about 3%, and their Japanese versions are off.

DISTANT PLANET
World Map (Pikmin 2) is at 65%, Ai no Uta* is on top, and all others are really low or off.

*I even sing along certain lines with it as I'm playing. ;D

SMASHVILLE
Title (Animal Crossing) and 2:00 a.m. are on top, while others are random.

NEW PORK CITY
Porky's Theme is on top, while all others are at 50%.

SUMMIT
Ice Climber is on top, Balloon Trip and Clu Clu Land are at 30%, and others are off.

SKYWORLD
Underworld and Skyworld are at 75%, but the others are low.

75m
Donkey Kong is on top, but 25m BGM is at 75%. And Opening (Donkey Kong) is off.

MARIO BROS.
Douchuumen (Nazo no Murasamejou) is on top, Gyromite is at 70%, others are at 40%.

FLAT ZONE 2
Flat Zone 2 is on top, while the others are quite low.

PICTOCHAT
PictoChat and Shaberu! DS Cooking Navi are on top, while others are average.

SHADOW MOSES ISLAND
Theme or Tara is on top, all others are at 60%.

GREEN HILL ZONE
Green Hill Zone is on top, and all the others are at 30%.

Might I add, though, who else has 25m BGM enabled at all?

It's only boringly repetitive and pointless if you listen to it in the sound test or something, not during gameplay.

The "pixel DK appearance" tune actually makes it more forgivable. Not to mention it breaks the other two songs severely.

I originally had a load of songs higher than others (3D Hot Rally, X, Tetris, etc. etc.) but have since changed this to more or less what Savage Adam's done... all at 100% aside from some really crappy ones at 0%

My "off" list is:

Tane no Uta (French Version) - is it just me, or does this really jar when it fades? Bad recording.

Map Screen / Bonus Room (DKC) - This is the worst song in the game. Would have been fine as a remix, or even if they just picked ONE song and stuck with it - but the transition from one to the other is just jarring and lazy.

25m BGM - This just grates after about 30 seconds, which was fine in the original game, because that's how long it took to do a level.

I love not knowing what song will show up. And I like "Calling to the Night"

SMW Title / Ending. The nostalgia.

MUSHROOMY KINGDOM (OVERWORLD)
No Gritzy Desert. I don't even play M&L2; but from the brief moment I tried the game, the msic is of no impression at all.

FRIGATE ORPHEON
I'll probably turn the Golden Sun music to the highest.

YOSHI'S ISLAND
I'll turn high the Touch & Go music.

HALBERD
Anything Meta-related will be turned high. DDD's music simply don't belong to this stage. And no Colda (Frozen Hillside or whatever... I'm a Japanese version player) please. The music is good, but Brawl is no Air Ride and Meta's ship is no iceberg.

LYLAT CRUISE
I'll like SNES Corneria.

CASTLE SIEGE
I'll take Roy's Hope. FE9/10 music are... I'll say, they kind of picked the wrong music for this stage. I want "Stalwarts Unite" from FE10 (when a unit joins) and FE9 title and attack music, but heck no... And I don't like how music taken from anything 64 or above gets no special treatment. Lazy, Sakurai, lazy.

WARIOWARE, INC.
Keep it as is. I love the defaults.

MARIO BROS.
I like the default Mario Bros remix. And I want to kill Famicom Medley. Changing Famicom music gives headaches - Famicom music (especially early ones; later ones are actually pretty good) can sometimes be annoying (high pitched, distinctive between notes, and as loud as sound effects), and switching between those all of a sudden... living hell. It just sounds like random noises to me.

PICTOCHAT
I'll like Sahberu! DS Oryori Navi. Thinking of Kirby using his Final Smash with this music is kind of funny...



And finally. I kind of wanted to see the support of custom music. Bawling in the music of a future game (want to do this with Galaxy music, which this game lacks any) or even no-game music would be fun. Just make sure such data do not get transferred online to avoid "first-time online experience" as described by Sakurai, and it's good to go.

I was pondering why they mixed those two songs in one. My theory is that it has to do with the second song (Bonus Room) also serving as a "map screen" song for Donkey Kong Land. Maybe not a good mix, but I love that they made it to the game!

It helps if you play the games certain songs are from, you'll respect them more. I say that to people here who never touched a MGS game. And Boo Destroyer, I think your tastes suck, so don't worry about your music choices.
