Hmm, it'll be interesting to see if this is just an improved model or the follow up system to the DS. More interesting to see if this is just a rumour perpetrated by rapscallions days before a big conference

Hmm, it'll be interesting to see if this is just an improved model or the follow up system to the DS. Well, yea, you MAY get that answer if comparing to the early Game Boy line of consoles: Game Boy (Nintendo DS), the basic model, got stronger light in Game Boy Light (Nintendo DS Lite), later it fitted in the pocket as Game Boy Pocket (also Nintendo DS Lite), then it was little enhanced and then got an entirely new console instead of a remade version of the basic: Game Boy Color (DS 2). Also, what may they mean when saying that the Wi-Fi will be enchanced? Pheraps that may mean something al á Virtual Console, with a library of classic games from Game & Watch, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and other portable consoles, for a cheap price and which library expands each week on the same day that the console first released in that country?

You have to remember is that we have this "leaked" rumour about a new DS model with added functionality. But what's the dealy with being able to play music? Is it going to have a built-in MP3 player? Will the camera help?
Jeez, if they wanted to give it MP3 and Camera capabilities, why not just go the whole hog and give it a mobile phone function? Challenge the iPhone.

How do you get all that after reading "better Wi-Fi"? Better Wi-Fi obviously means better reception. Hmm, I do hope this is a new version. With an analog stick. And better graphics.

Because the analog on the PSP is terribly designed and in the worst place. And there's only one. DS could use an analog and the touch screen.
Seriously, controlling Ratchet&Clank and Katamari on the PSP. Nightmares.

Seriously, controlling Ratchet&Clank and Katamari on the PSP. Nightmares. I didn't think Ratchet & Clank was so bad. I never tried out Katamari though... Anyways, I've heard so many people complain about Super Mario 64 DS and how bad it controls (I didn't mind the controls at all, however).

This is no more that a rumor now, so keep the hype at minimum (for now)

I don't think nikkei.co.jp would publish a rumour.

I'll believe it exactly one moment sooner, then we'll see who's laughing.

Well, isn't this the next logical step in the technology? People gonzo that Nintendo is behind in media beyond gaming, and here it is. People should be throwing themselves to the floor crying tears of joy.
Now let's see if they can do this for the Wii... *sigh*
