You should have played Othello if you have New SMB and tried the multiplayer minigame mode. Oh yeah! With the Bob-Ombs...

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! also features an Othello-like multiplayer game, but mixed with microgames. It is called Milky Way Delirium..

Apprently TV Eye isn't up on his English Language Arts lessons, because Othello was also a Shakepearean play. ;D Specifically it was about a Moor who married a Venician woman, and two other guys who want to kill him for that. That's probably why the pieces are traditionally black and white, and also why they renamed it Reversi; racial connotations.

And the recent movie based on that play, it's called O or something.
And videogame versions of othello are better.

Yeah, there's gotta be a few film versions of it floating around out there.
Was O made by the same guys who made M (for Macbeth)?

DIAL M FOR MERCHANT OF VENICE!! Oh wait. Now I'm just making stuff up. Yeah, it's believed the brand name "othello" was named after the Shakespearian play due to the black and white pieces. However, there are two theories - one is that it's about the racial tensions in Othello, and the other is that it's down to the two-faced nature of the characters in Othello. I love Wikipedia. It makes it sound like I know what I'm talking about

How about Theatre eye then? The spelling will make all the difference.
