Did anyone else here about this? I read about it in the Wall Street Journal amidst all the economy woe ones, and I thought it was interesting but impractical. It seems like it would be hard to access and take a picture. Why not just have a memory card adaptor?

What the heck are you talking about?
Find a source/link to it.

Yes. this was announced last week with a lot of fanfare. It also has an SD card slot for saving games from the DSWare online store.

I heard you will be able to download full gameboy games. From a magazine, either Nintendo Power or EGM I forgot which, I'm leaning toward EGM. AND it was in a very old issue, so maybe it was a foreshadow.

Is Quartermaster still running the Rumor Mill in EGM? If he is, that's probably where you heard it.

Guys...call it a Flash Drive. Calling it 'SD Card Slot' is just wasting breath on my part. And anyway, it's cool that Nintendo is beginning to aim for the mainstream players. Sure, kids get them a lot of money, but they need to start attracting mature crowds. I'm not saying turn Mario into a gun-toting misfit, just add some darker, more serious games into the current mix. And this DS is probably going to do just that. From what I know, the PSP doesn't have a camera built in to the system. I think the DS should start going for multimedia to attract more crowds.

They all play Brain Training and Wii Fit. They also have basically every crowd.

From what I know, the PSP doesn't have a camera built in to the system. PSP 3000 does, which is the same reason the DSi is doing it.

No I didn't hear it in the Rumor Mill (though he's still doing it) but I also heard from that very old issue that the service might be Japan only.

What a copout joke. They should call it the DS Cash-in. Typical nintendo bollocks.

From what I know, the PSP doesn't have a camera built in to the system. PSP 3000 does, which is the same reason the DSi is doing it. Does it? I looked it up and saw no information on a camera built in, just a nearly identical outer appearance with enhanced quality in the screen.
