I'd personally like to see the original SSB stages return. I don't know. They seem to be worn out and/or no good now, mainly because most Melee stages were based and improved upon them.

Mushroomy Kingdom: shouldn't have been a desert but a lush green environment.
Mario Bros.: throwing enemies are too powerful, make them weaker projectiles.
Rumble Falls: slow down the scrolling, you don't have enough time to enjoy the stage.
Hanenbow: like Flip said, you should be able to swim.
New Pork City: make it smaller, it's much too large.
Flat Zone 2: the lion tamers have too much knock-back.

I personally like the whole classic touch, it brings back the wondrous feeling the first SSB gave me. That tingly feeling many of us got from the point when they had that commercial of the people in Mario, DK, Yoshi, and Pikachu costumes where they ended up fighting. I miss those days, and Brawl didn't have that feeling to it when I played it, yet I still feel it when I replay the first SSB.

Distant Planet: Give it a couple of fast paced songs, instead of songs that plod along slowly, whist I'm beating the crap out of my opponents.
Luigi's Mansion: Actually have ghosts appearing - they hold you, which hinders your movement until you shake them off.
Rumble Falls: Cut this level entirely Slow down the rate the screen scrolls, by 10% or so.
I would also like to have more than one song available for the custom stages.

And ALL the Melee stages needed to be officially updated/integrated into the Brawl stages. One new Kirby stage for 3 characters is ridiculous. I don't know what precisely you're getting at here. Or this must be another instance of your habit of semi-fanboyishly looking too deep into things. Wow you make such piss poor attempts at being an arsehole. His point is pretty clear - integrate the Melee stages so that they are part of the stage rotation in the single player modes - ie. the Kirby level isn't restricted to just the Halberd stage, but also Green Greens as well.

...Oh, and you can do a whole lot better? Right... Unlike most fighting games though, the stages aren't exactly lined up with the characters in Smash. Some Melee stages do appear in certain event matches, though. If any Melee stages need refurnishing, it would be both Yoshi stages. Into scrollers like Mushroomy Kingdom.

If by refurnish you mean "cut and replace with an entirely different stage", unless you mean "add an arseload of more gimmicks", which is what everyone else seems to mean.
I'd much rather the next game brings back all the old settings from the previous stages, but otherwise makes the stages themselves entirely new. And gives them proper names (e.g. Mushroom Kingdom II = Subcon, Yoshi's Island = Donut Plains, etc.)

The stages are fine really, I don't need an assload more gimmicks. A lot of you seem to want to add enemies as stage hazards or make the stages scroll like Mushroomy Kingdom.
The thing I like about Brawl stages are how most have their own main gimmick, even though some are taken straight from Melee. Green Hill Zone already has killer checkpoints and destroyable terrain, adding enemies and auto-scroll would make it way too chaotic. I know, it's what Smash Bros is about, but I want a little control over my battles. Classic Mario Bros stage having enemies as hazard is good enough for me.
I do think it's too bad the original Green Hill enemy robots didn't make an appearance however, in the stage background or the like. They haven't made appearances since the first few Sonic games. They'd make a better background cameo then friggen Silver.

Unlike most fighting games though, the stages aren't exactly lined up with the characters in Smash. Some Melee stages do appear in certain event matches, though. When you fight, for example, the Kirby characters, in either Classic or All Star, you always play on a Kirby stage. As mentioned already, that's a choice of 1 stage, the Halberd - if the Melee stages were integrated more, it could be a choice of 2 stages (Halberd and Green Greens). Mother, Starfox, F-Zero, Yoshi, all have this problem - 1 stage when there are actually 2 in the game.

No, Boo Destroy is the birdman to us birds. He wants to fly like us, but he's always DOIN IT WRONG. By this I mean he tries to be a smartass like DiU or TV Eye, but half the time he comes off as insulting or just plain irrelevant. I tried this once and eventually learned to keep my mouth shut. He still hasn't.

I'd like graphical updates done to the stages, but really nothing else. IMO there's no truly bad SSB stages, despite my personal dislike of the ones that are so big you can't see anything happening in them (New Pork City, Hyrule Temple, Sector Z). The scale issues on those stages in particular could stand to be fixed, and there could stand to be less repetition (do we really need any more stages where you play on the Great Fox at a profile view?), which is easily cured with a gimmick here or there.
My main issue, though, is that I'd like these Retro stages to reappear more in the form of downloadable content or patches, rather than being built into the game itself. This would have to wait a console when Nintendo gets its head out of its butt and offers a more effective online shop and data storage solution - but this way, you have all of the SSB64/Melee/Brawl stages saved to your console instead, and the disc space on SSB4 is no more reduced for newer content.

Man-Frog...just shut the shi t up already. The irony is that you haven't learned to stop pestering me, seeing as you've gone too far with it. All you seem to do is find my every post on here and reply with poorly-written, pointless complaints and insults about everything I say. Stop reading my posts and just ignore 'em if you can't seem to take it anymore. Or try to suck it up and try to post something more relevant.

Why don't you suck it up and learn to not take everything I post about you so goddamn seriously? Must I constantly remind you when I'm joking? If I did, there'd be about ten trillion of these littering all my posts: ;D
