nocturnal YL: Got to the final area in Ryza 3. That's about 60% done in terms of story contents. This is where the story starts getting interesting. I'd say the pacing is a lot better than the first two games. I hope the story doesn't disappoint me. May 9, 2023 11:30:57 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: I am getting Tears of the Kingdom digitally, so technically, I could be playing it a little early tonight due to my time zone. However, I am also an old fart who likes sleep, so I'll still be saving it until morning. May 11, 2023 9:47:19 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Atelier Ryza 3 is the easiest Atelier game I've played. Atelier Rorona is finally dethroned. May 13, 2023 7:51:18 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Got to right before the ending in Ryza 3. It should take me a while to finish the side stuff before moving on. May 14, 2023 15:30:06 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Okay, so after a few days of playing, Ryza 3 started to miss a few menu sound effects. Memory leakage, perhaps? There's also a treasure box that's on the map but is apparently already opened, although I don't know if it's the game's fault or mine. May 16, 2023 12:39:20 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Forget about the treasure box thing. There are 2 treasure boxes at the same spot but at different heights, one of which I still can't access. The scavenger hunt for treasure boxes in a 3D area with a 2D map is fun or frustrating depending on the player. May 17, 2023 6:52:07 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: Finished my first temple in Tears of the Kingdom, and it was *exactly* the kind of thing I wanted to see in Breath of the Wild. Even the boss fight felt like a classic-style Zelda boss. May 17, 2023 16:04:44 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Finished getting everything I care about in Ryza 3. I still have a few rare enemies and party quests to go, but the player party is already so overpowered. I viewed all story cutscenes (except the ending) and got all treasure boxes. May 19, 2023 15:53:01 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Brace Yourself Games reportedly laid off half of its staff, which is about 20 people. Yikes. May 20, 2023 11:58:20 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: ^ I was sorry to hear this. Apparently some unannounced projects were canned, too. May 20, 2023 16:12:16 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: I'm a little afraid to see how much time I've spent on Tears of the Kingdom when it's revealed on my Switch profile tomorrow. May 22, 2023 10:44:07 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Random trivia: 100% of my team at work know what a Wii U is. May 25, 2023 10:57:22 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: Huh. So, there's going to be a sequel to Daemon X Machina. Didn't see that coming. May 25, 2023 20:45:27 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: I tried to come up with a thread on how Nintendo Switch stands out as a generation when I care so little about Nintendo games (I have only bought 9 Nintendo-published Switch games), but I don't know what to say besides the usual "I already have a Wii U". May 26, 2023 13:39:10 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: If first-party impact is the sole indicator of how much do I like a game system, Nintendo Switch would be about the 4th worst Nintendo system. It's fortunate that its gimmick is something all games can benefit on, so I don't have to like Nintendo's games. May 26, 2023 13:42:31 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Note: I will be offline for the next 2 days as I'll be on another trip, this time to southern China. May 27, 2023 12:30:25 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: Enjoy your trip! May 27, 2023 16:40:07 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: I'm back! Well, I was back yesterday, but I was tired. It was pretty fun. May 31, 2023 8:35:07 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: Welcome back! May 31, 2023 10:32:59 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: Finished Tears of the Kingdom! Not sure of the exact time, but it took well over 100 hours. I finished all main quests. Gonna need some time to organize my full thoughts. Jun 1, 2023 16:29:13 GMT -5
