Alright, so I bet a lot of you screamed like a psycho when they heard about Golden Sun DS...right? Or was it just me...
Anyways, it's apparently going to take place years after The Lost Age and you play as descendants of the main characters. That's about all that's been said.
I'm betting the Wise One and Alex also return...

Please tell me what's happened to Alex!!!!!!!
Oh, and who did Issac marry? (My bet's on Jenna.) Is Piers still alive? There's just a LOT of speculations possible.

I got in from work just as they launched into the trailer, and so it was the first significant announcement I saw... and immediately I realised this year's E3 was better than last year's... even if they announced nothing else... Golden Sun is one of the few RPGs I have time for, and I can't put my finger on why. I think it's because the dungeons are decent Zelda-like puzzles, rather than places where the only challenge is surviving the onslaught of menu-based battles. And that music... had it stuck it in my head since E3

I have to admit, I never managed to play through the first GS, (I got up to some place inside a tree, near talking trees or something. It's been a while. Also the game isn't mine, it's my older brother's). but I would like to try it again after hearing so much praise for the series. Also GS DS official art (characters look awesome by the way) and SSBB AT version of Isaac. Is this a common pose in GS or a coincidence?

Yeah, that's the usual Psynergy use pose.
Those guys look like clones of Isaac, Garet, and Mia.

They're supposed to be descendants, but unless Isaac, Garet and Mia procreated asexually via mitosis then the resemblance is worrying and almost pointlessly so. Anyone else going to rename them to their Golden Sun namesakes?

They're supposed to be descendants, but unless Isaac, Garet and Mia procreated asexually via mitosis then the resemblance is worrying and almost pointlessly so. Anyone else going to rename them to their Golden Sun namesakes? I would hope for either: A) The descendants haven't been unveiled yet and the artwork was of older versions of Issac, Mia and Garet. (It could certainly be the case for Garet). B) That the descendant character design was done purposely to invoke nostalgia and marketing resemblance (it has been 6 years some people may have forgotten about GS) to the original cast. Also since they are "descendants" it hasn't been said how much time has passed since the original games. Could they be children of the main cast? Grandchildren? . . . Great great great grandchildren? Something even crazier? The playable E3 demo for GS DS is only 10 seconds long. (Walk character out of house, across bridge, demo ends), makes me wonder how long this game has even been in development for. Here's video.

I'm not too positive about this thing now. Not only did they leak it too early, but Camelot has been a failure ever since October 2004.
We'll see:
2001 to early 2004: OMG it's the awesome pseudo-3D on GBA! 2004: "We're under time constraint and so no GC-GBA this time" 2005: "We changed the graphics style for no apparent reason. By the way, this game's not 3D." 2007: "Capcom's We Love Golf doesn't sell. We blame on the lack of Mario." 2009: "Well, we kind of forget the existence of a hardware named 'Nunchuk' and decided you have to move your character, swing the racket and do Special Shots all with one single hand."
...I can't really say I still love Camelot now.

You're just bitter because you didn't like New Play Control: Mario Power Tennis

That AND I don't like the GBA verison.
If they fail for a few consecutive games (I think the GC one isn't a complete fail though), I'll naturally worry about Golden Sun DS. And as I mentioned already, E3 shows have a tendency to include a game or two that don't actually exist/
On the plus side, traditional RPG is always what they have been strong at. So this genre is less likely to turn out bad than tennis games.

GBA Mario Tennis was great. You're a madman.

GBA Mario Tennis was great. You're a madman. The opponents are practically powerless. You beat the game pretty quickly, after which you'll get bored from the uselessness of the opponents. Plus this game doesn't showcase the GBA's power like the other 3 Camelot games did. Having game in which you always win is only funny when your game involves mass destruction.

They need to explain what happend to Alex and the Wise one, otherwise I will feel cheated (like when the first game ended halfway trough the story) Strange to see so many people in the gaming media claiming now Golden Sun to be "the best RPG´s on the GBA" when back then, all where bitching about its slow pace and the sound the characters made while talking and the fact that it was one game split into two carts.

Having game in which you always win is only funny when your game involves mass destruction. I attributed my always winning to the fact I was utterly amazing in this game just like I am in every aspect of life. ...seriously, I didn't notice any sort of lack of difficulty in this game, in fact I remember later tournaments getting quite tricky. Furthermore, I enjoyed the minigames and how they had an actual purpose. And I also like how this one integrated the power shots into normal play, rather than forcing a cut screen as its bigger console brother did. My only real complaint was the lack of a transfer to GCN option, but I got over it fairly rapidly.

We Love Golf! is a good game, too, no matter how it sold. Just turn off the volume, for the audio is god-awful. XD
