And I agree, I'm stoked for another Pokemon Snap too. What's there to be stoked about? It was never announced!

Then, I'd MUCH RATHER have that. Somehow, I still find it strange how the original game didn't have all 151 Pokemon (at the time, of course). But with all of what we have now, it would be much more forgivable if another one didn't include all 493.

Bull. I would not be happy unless it had 500 different types of Pokemon.

Wait... so the announcement was just for Excitebike: World Rally? That is not news. LOL

It feels incomplete but remember they didn't include all species in the first Japanese Stadium, either. Then Stadium came and included all 151, but that was after Snap. Bull. "Formes" is for pussies.) Both terms are used in English media. Normally it's "Forme" only when it's a proper noun ("Origin Forme") and "form" when it's a common noun as in the Rotom forms. Strangely, they used the spelling "Attack Form", "Defense Form", etc. for Deoxys in Pokémon Ranger 1, but they use "Attack Forme", etc. everywhere now.

My point is, the "e" at the end of "Forme" strikes me as an incredibly faggy mutilation of the English language. GameFREAKS aren't doing it for any other reason than they can, and that is SO. FRUSTRATING. Now, this is nothing against silent and unnecessary "e"s at the end of words! Metal has been doing that sort of shit for years, but the thing about that is it's fucking metal. And when it's done as a form of stylization, then sure, good on you! (I mean, it's not like I don't capitalize the "E" in "TEi,"which is along the same lines.) But the way GameFREAKS is using it? ffhoiwjg4jog5hgipjwg5rght. They're describing a different Pokemon shape.

I knew there was a first Pokemon Stadium before the one that made it out of Japan, but that one didn't have 'em all then? You learn something new everyday. Yeah. They were fully-evolved forms of only a few Pokémon families (or Pokémon that had no evolutions or pre-evolutions), except for Pikachu who was in the game instead of Raichu, it being the franchise mascot and all. Both terms are used in English media. Normally it's "Forme" only when it's a proper noun ("Origin Forme") and "form" when it's a common noun as in the Rotom forms. Isn't it valid in ancient English?

Ok x-D Out of curiosity, I searched the word "forme" anyway. Isn't it valid in ancient English? Probably, back in the Elizabethan days I'm sure - it's the sort of word you'd expect to see spelled like that in a Shakespere to have used. But applying that sort of thing to A// a Pokemon game, and B// to signify different forms of a Pokemon in aforementioned game is really obnoxious to me. XD

This is the first I've even heard of that. It sounds absolutely stupid.

According to Wiktionary a 'forme' is an 'arrangement of metal or wood type from which a page may be printed'. en.wiktionary.org/wiki/forme I don't think that Gamefreaks had this definition in mind...

< Middle English forme (“‘shape, figure, manner, bench, frame, seat, condition, agreement, etc.’”) < Old French forme < Latin forma (“‘shape, figure, image, outline, plan, mold, frame, case, etc., manner, sort, kind, etc.’”)
