Just thought to create a topic on this game rather than posting all the news in Game Announcements. As you might know, Last Window is the sequel to Hotel Dusk (aka Wish Room) and will be released in Japan on January 14, 2010. Ah, second game of the Kyle Hyde series.
This game features a novel mode too. Finished chapters can be viewed as novel, giving insight to characters' personalities and such.
I wonder what will it will be called outside of Japan.

I'll happily support a thread on this game.  Alas, I'm also in a bit of a "no spoiler" mood about this game, so I don't really want to look at clips of the game in motion. A very strange combination. XD |

The site has been updated with the Characters and How to Play sections. But I'll stop looking at this point. The intro video was nice, but now it just becomes too spoiler-heavy in my book...

Great news just a few days before the Japanese release: The game is listed under the name Last Window: Midnight Promise (literal translation of Japanese title) in the table of contents of the upcoming Nintendo Power issue!  gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=110464By the way, the game has been rated 32 (9/8/8/7) by Famitsu. Acorrding to Nintendo Life, Last Window is truly confirmed now to come to Europe 17th September, will be known as Last Window: The Secret of Cape West. ds.nintendolife.com/news/2010/07/last_window_coming_to_europe_in_septemberHowever, for some reason they don't have the link to the source. Take it with a grain of salt. EDIT: A Nintendo Life member in there says the source is from an official NoE release schedule and that Official Nintendo Magazine UK have reported on this as well. |

Hoorah! Fantastic news! ;D I believe Nintendo actually has a pretty good take-up on Cing adventure titles. Hotel Dusk was rated very highly. I hope this game gets the same level of care and attention to the translation as the original (and more, than say Another Code R, which seemed rushed).  Kaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrllllll!!! |

Oh hell yes. Now it's Nintendo of America's turn to step up and announce they are releasing it, too. Otherwise, I'll be importing my first game. I care that much about Last Window.
