3DS Ambassador GBA Compilation

I'm getting impatient with the wait to find out the final 5 GBA games that will be made available through the 3DS Ambassador Programme... Mainly because I'm trying to plan my next compilation art piece!

As with the NES games, each game in the piece will be represented by one or more characters. Where possible, I don't want to repeat a character.

Even knowing the 5 we do, I foresee issues.

Yoshi's Island Yoshi and Baby Mario running (followed by eggs). Perhaps being pursued by Kamek.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong Donkey Kong covered in Mini-Mario toys.
WarioWare, Inc. Various characters.
Metroid Fusion Samus in the Fusion Suit, and an X-Virus.
Mario Kart: Super Circuit Two characters riding karts on Ribbon Road.

The most popular options for the remaining five include The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, Wario Land 4 and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. It would be a surprise if at least three of these didn't make an appearance. The final is also expected to be a Mario game... either Super Mario Bros. 3 or one of the spinoffs.

Now, whether Wario is included in the WarioWare segment depends on whether Wario Land 4 is available. I was going to have Luigi in the kart, but if Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is available, I'll have to opt for Peach, Bowser or Toad (as Mario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong & Wario are all taken).

So, assuming no more than 4 will have no connection to the Mario series (if the SMB3/spinoff option is a surprise Advance Wars or Golden Sun), how would you like to see the Mario characters divided up? It's a puzzle!

With regards to the characters, I think if M&L is included, you should use Cackletta instead of the bros, since we're kind of going on overdrive with all the regular Mario. I think you should look at these two pictures as two halves of the same bigger picture and try to represent as much diversity as you can.

Seriousness. I don't know what all is already in, so I'm just running on gut here, but...

I would feature Fawful if it's Mario & Luigi, if it's SMB3 I'd pick Luigi, if it's SMB2 I'd pick Birdo, and if it's a Kart game I'd pick Toad. Those are my suggestions, for what they're worth.

Well, we've had the full gamut of 3DS conferences for the forseeable, and no word on the GBA games. It's a crying shame, as October would have been perfect. November and December are packed with high profile game releases that will prevent the GBA games getting the love they deserve.

As we have heard nothing at all, I am now expecting these to be released on Christmas Day. Which means my 3DS is sitting unused until Mario 3D Land comes out

It's just less than 20 days to go. I can pretty much say the same here; currently my 3DS serves me best as a music player (Star Fox proved to get old very fast), because I don't have one and I can't be bothered to figure out the impossibly complicated folder structure of my phone.

Me too, however I've got a feeling the Nintendo has no interest in continuing to publish the series outside Japan with Fire Emblem 11 on the DS not being released outside Japan and with there being no indications that they have any interest in exporting the 3DS game either.
