I don't invest a lot in rumors, either, and whether a Metroid Prime Trilogy HD is a thing or not doesn't make a difference to me as I'm not really a big fan of the series.
I just find it funny that of all the rumors swirling before the Direct, Metroid Prime Trilogy HD was the one that was supposedly almost a sure thing, and when it didn't actually appear in any way, shape or form... well, no one has said a word about it.

Of note, the 'leak' that said MP Trilogy was in the Direct also called Mario Maker 2 and a new, Switch exclusive Box Boy. The latter is a hell of a thing to guess if it didn't have actual info.

King Zell did say that he wasn't entirely certain on what would be shown, just things that are releasing in 2019. It seems to me that after criticism of 2018 being port heavy, Nintendo didn't want to spend time discussing their own ports instead of new games, a decision I think most of us would agree with.

Too bad this is releasing after March 29, now we won't be able to import any Kalos pokemon.

Here it is:
Some interesting reveals there. Here are my points of interest:
- Cuphead coming to Switch in April. The Nintendo-Microsoft bromance continues...
- The Red Lantern (dog sledding game) looked kinda cool. (No pun intended.)
- Blaster Master Zero II comes out of nowhere, and is out today. I really enjoyed the first one, so I'll have to check out this one, too.
- Cadence of Hyrule, a Zelda-themed spin-off of Crypt of the Necrodancer in which you can play as Link and Zelda. This was an interesting surprise. Due out this spring.

Now every single Metroidvania dev is going to try and license Samus for their games.

Some pretty good stuff was shown, I liked the effect with Takamaru and the ninjas. Wonder who else will show up?

SMM2 is sounding pretty good, basically fixes everything thing about the first game. And the 4 player support should be good. People can remake older Mario levels and try then with multiple players to see what chaos it will bring.
The SM3DW exclusive style/gameplay level features are a good inclusion as well.

Banjo Pilot is over 10 years old and was published by THQ instead of Microsoft. There is very little chance that Microsoft will publish games outside of Minecraft on the Switch or 3DS. If you want to play as Banjo in a fighting game, petition Microsoft to add him into Killer Instinct. And now we have Banjo in Smash!
