I don't have a 3DS, but I keep seeing users posting images of Swapnotes sent by Nintendo or key Nintendo figures (such as this one: img.photobucket.com/albums/v73/ranchuu/tt/zelds.jpg ) and I was hoping you would save these on your site for posterity. Assuming you have a 3DS of course. If not, ask your users for contributions. Right now they might be insignificant novelties, but 20 years from now, they'll be as rare as the Star Tropics or Mike Tyson's Punch Out letter. It's better to start "collecting" them now while it's easy to get them.

I'm just a little sad that, being in Europe, we don't get anything cool like that. I've never even seen that Zelda one before. Looks awesome.
However, I am planning on adding cameo stationery to the site. In fact I plan on adding it now. I've just added pages to all the 3DS download games, and I'm putting the cameos in as we speak.
Is that Aonuma one also stationery?

Woo, haven't been here in a long while. I'm GameMaster if you guys don't remember me. Anyway, I have all the stationary TVeye linked to, if you guys want it I can send it to you guys. The one TVeye couldn't identify is GameCenterCX by the way.

I think I have received all the stationery released over the past few days:
- Nintendo Direct (Japan + Super Mario Bros.) - Reggie's Notebook - The Legend of Zelda NES - Game Center CX - Monster Hunter (weird cat thing)
For those who have received them from me, note that not a single one of these was released in the UK. I got them all from MegaByte. Because he's awesome (and I'm not just saying that because he hosts NinDB or anything!)

I've seen speculation that you only got the Aonuma note if you had played Ocarina of Time 3D. I haven't and didn't. Anybody else?

I didn't get the Aonuma note, but my sister did and she's played it. Seems plausible.

The reason why I'm a bit adamant about getting this stuff saved is because the 3DS has a lot of things that are only accessible through an internet connection and only if Nintendo is serving/hosting such services. Eventually, years from now, you won't be able to access a lot of the 3DS services and even further into the future, such stuff will become "holy grails" like Sattelaview stuff is today.
It's best if everything is saved now, and not later.

Actually even if spotpass service ends, it's still possible to send swapnotes via streetpass which doesn't require an internet connection, but does require the sender and the receiver to be physically near each other.
The thought of selling 3DS' with "every swapnote stationary" on eBay for a pretty penny is kinda funny though

I think if we can avoid another situation like the Satellaview we will have done a great service to the Nintendo community as a whole.

In addition, if you really want to equate it to Satellaview, what everybody really should do is make regular backups of the 3DS SD card, and hope that one day, the encryption is cracked.
On that note, there's a lot of stuff on Nintendo Zone that's already likely been lost, and the software itself only lets you save a very limited number of pages (in non-interactive form).

Yeah, I have that.
