All right everybody! Because you all insist on selecting obscure characters it took me forever to update the chart... but it is now updated! ;D Amaterasu and Viewtiful Joe are now neck and neck for first place. Other than that, there haven't been too many changes in the top 10, but there's a total of 93 characters on the chart right now!  |

Gah, that's the design of Lady I'd prefer not to see. XD I don't know about anybody else, but I personally adore Lady's DMC3 design and abhor her DMC4 one. Still, your call. |

I don't know who all these characters are  I tend to do more research if they make it into the Top 10. I think I used a different Nightmare design to the one in the Namco chart, for example. |

I hate to go changing a vote, but since you don't consider Maximo to be part of the GnG series, I'd like to change my vote for Strider Hiryu to Maximo. (And hey, you already have the artwork for it, so...)

Oh yes, that's certainly a more interesting design  I've been trying to establish if Maximo is a spinoff of the GnG series or just similar in style. I think it may be the former, but any double votes there are essentially my fault for not doing the research so I won't force anyone to change if they voted for two. |

I've been tallying up everyone's votes before updating the chart, so time for a quick update! The Top 10 is looking pretty steady, however. Viewtiful Joe and Amaterasu are still head-to-head for first place with Mega Man trailing behind in third place. Mike Haggar has now taken 4th place over Phoenix Wright! I may have to fix that when I cast my own votes Sissel, Arthur, Strider Hiryu, Nathan Spencer and Frank West are comfortably moving around places 9-10 without much of a challenge from outside. In 11th place, Morrigan Aensland has crept ahead of Chun-Li, who drops Street Fighter back to 12th. Leon Kennedy has moved Resident Evil into 13th place, which was surprisingly low on votes at first. However, it's looking very unlikely that, unless there's a surge of surprising votes, the Top 10 will change much between now and the end of the poll. Still, don't forget to vote if you haven't already! I do like to be surprised! |

Aww... all right, I guess I will just vote for Detective Dick Gumshoe from Ace Attorney series despite knowing that Phoenix Wright will win anyway.

Actually I'm very surprised that Edgey and Gumshoe took so long to end up on this list... The chart has been updatedAmaterasu has edged ahead to #1, while Phoenix Wright is dropping back a little due to vote-spreading across its huge roster. Either way, the Top 10 is still steady and safe for now. |

I'm still amazed by the current standings in this one. Sure the popular Capcom series (Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Darkstalkers) with lots of fan favorites are hindering their positions because of that fact. And zero votes for Zero (pun intended) so far, considering how popular the character is...
