I suppose the difficulty is subjective, but to me, characters are easier to draw when they consist of simple shapes, and hard to draw when they have really elaborate clothing.
I don't see why Kachi is considered any easier to draw than Peach. Midna, on the other hand, seems like she'd be easy to draw, so I don't know why she's in the hard category. I would consider Akari medium, because her snowboarding garb isn't that complicated. Zelda would be medium if drawn in her "goddess" outfit, and hard if drawn in her Skyloft oufit.
Just my opinion, of course. I'm sure I'll struggle no matter who I draw.

yeah, I did the list in my own personal opinion while trying to balance the characters in appropiated categories.
Especially Peach's case, as I normally have troubles drawing dresses (and her patricluar hairstyle).
Midna's case is that, in both of her forms, she can give some troubles. Mainly that stone thing on her head in her imp form.
Akari's case was to balance the chart, but she is actually has an average human look. So yeah she can be put into the Medium.
You are right with Zelda, but her Skyward appearence looks actually much easier than in some of her previous games. That's why she can be in Middle, but could be Hard, as you said, just not as much as Ocarina of Time/Twilight Princess.
Thanks, Fry! Remember I said these wouldn't be due until November to avoid conflict with Nintober, but if you all want to get your first characters going I'll get the process of selecting going sometime this week. I do need to know what level of character all of you want first! I'll be doing HARD ones.

Given my drawing style (in short, Flash-based vector drawings), it doesn't matter what difficulty I get. I'd pick Easy or Hard because I don't particularly feel like drawing Medium characters, with Hard being first priority.
Gimme anything that's left. Don't worry too much about clashing with Nintober. I will probably try and get them done before it starts, or during the many MANY days off work I have taken throughout October!

I'll go with the Easy-list, and preferably don't give me too much to draw, hahah. (Though would there be someone who'd be so kind to color my pics? I'm more good at doing vector-styled linearts than coloring...)
Nester the Lark: Hello, NinDB world! Post your shouts here! (But be careful not to wake the neighbors. )

nocturnal YL: Guys, guys! I can't believe what I found in Zelda 1! The game features an Elimination Mode that for some reason not many talked about! I wonder if it's fun? (Don't actually try it.)

nocturnal YL: Hey, I can edit shoutbox posts! This is already better than Twitter!

Nester the Lark: It seems like Cadence of Hyrule should be more popular than it is. Are people put off by the rhythm aspect? Or the randomly-generated maps?
Jul 24, 2020 14:01:59 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: ↑ Might warrant its own thread, but I think mixing rhythm and other genres usually resuls in gameplay too difficult for many. I can't handle it well either, judging from my scores in Dedede's Drum Dash.

nocturnal YL: ↑ For me personally, it simply hasn't been considered. It's a download-only game (until now) from a series I'm unfamiliar with and didn't feel like trying out.

Nester the Lark: Ironically, I did create a thread for Cadence of Hyrule, but then deleted it thinking there wouldn't be any discussion on it. Maybe I'll go ahead and make a new one.

Shrikeswind: Something to bear in mind about the shoutbox if you’re not already aware: It doesn’t show up on the mobile version of the forums. This shouldn’t be a major problem, but it can make it difficult to get into discussions for mobile visitors.
Jul 26, 2020 1:40:18 GMT -5
Shrikeswind: Also the more obvious character limit issues, and the format not really being conducive to longer-term discussion. It’s useful but limited; threads definitely still have their place.

Shrikeswind: (Honestly, Proboards mobile is pretty bad in general, but...)

Nester the Lark: Not sure if this works on all devices, but you can force the desktop version of the forum by scrolling all the way to the bottom and clicking the "Desktop" link at the lower right.

Shrikeswind: I’m aware. I’m typing this from my phone. I’m just pointing out that, for people who aren’t aware or who may be casually checking in on their phone, the shoutbox won’t be visible on

Shrikeswind: Is there a Discord for NinDB, by the way? It’s very popular with them there young’ns these days, so it might help activity.
Jul 26, 2020 22:07:47 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: There is no NinDB Discord. There was a brief discussion of it a few years ago, but nothing ultimately came of it. I rarely use Discord, myself.
Jul 27, 2020 8:58:28 GMT -5
Shrikeswind: Hm. Seems like it might be a good idea if activity picks up. Not to be a pessimist but I do have my doubts that'll happen though.

Shrikeswind: Okay not a Nintendo topic but I kinda need to talk about this because I just learned it and it's a thing so bleh.

Shrikeswind: You remember Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame, right? So apparently, 5 year old me was incapable of discerning male and female in non-humans, because *apparently* there's a female gargoyle, and the goat's a boy.
