I suppose the difficulty is subjective, but to me, characters are easier to draw when they consist of simple shapes, and hard to draw when they have really elaborate clothing. I don't see why Kachi is considered any easier to draw than Peach. Midna, on the other hand, seems like she'd be easy to draw, so I don't know why she's in the hard category. I would consider Akari medium, because her snowboarding garb isn't that complicated. Zelda would be medium if drawn in her "goddess" outfit, and hard if drawn in her Skyloft oufit. Just my opinion, of course. I'm sure I'll struggle no matter who I draw.  |

Valid points, Nester. I was just happy I didn't have to come up with a scheme myself.  If there are any objections to jigglysama's scale, voice it now! Make suggestions for difficulty, too! |

yeah, I did the list in my own personal opinion while trying to balance the characters in appropiated categories.
Especially Peach's case, as I normally have troubles drawing dresses (and her patricluar hairstyle).
Midna's case is that, in both of her forms, she can give some troubles. Mainly that stone thing on her head in her imp form.
Akari's case was to balance the chart, but she is actually has an average human look. So yeah she can be put into the Medium.
You are right with Zelda, but her Skyward appearence looks actually much easier than in some of her previous games. That's why she can be in Middle, but could be Hard, as you said, just not as much as Ocarina of Time/Twilight Princess.

Sorry, I've had a busy few days. Two more suggestions? Hmm... How 'bouts Nikki (Swapnote) and Wrinkly Kong! I coulda said Candy... But screw it, Wrinkly gets my vote!
(Also, thanks to Nester for letting me know that I was holding up proceedings - Twitter is the best way to get me if you need me at short notice)

Remember I said these wouldn't be due until November to avoid conflict with Nintober, but if you all want to get your first characters going I'll get the process of selecting going sometime this week. I do need to know what level of character all of you want first! I'll be doing HARD ones. |

Interesting choices of Fry. I guess Wrinkly should go to Medium (or maybe Easy in her ghost from). Nikki should go into Easy.
As for me I would like a Medium character, first.

After years drawing anime-style characters the craft has been somehow embedded into my hands. Therefore I will pick the easy choice and go with the Hard category =]

Given my drawing style (in short, Flash-based vector drawings), it doesn't matter what difficulty I get. I'd pick Easy or Hard because I don't particularly feel like drawing Medium characters, with Hard being first priority.

I'll go with the Easy-list, and preferably don't give me too much to draw, hahah. (Though would there be someone who'd be so kind to color my pics? I'm more good at doing vector-styled linearts than coloring...)
