Time to give this little built-in sofware its own thread.
There's a new version of StreetPass Mii Plaza for Japanese and European 3DS. Changes include:
New games
There are new games (purchasable with real-life money), including: (names are European)
StreetPass Squad (Good-Feel) - 2D scrolling shooter where Miis are used for upgrading your machine
StreetPass Garden (GREZZO) - Breed (fictitious) flowers with people you tagged with
StreetPass Battle (Spike Chunsoft) - Conquer 20 countries by combining forces from Miis you met
StreetPass Mansion (PROPE) - Build your own mansion and chase after ghosts
New puzzles
I've got pieces for Xenoblade (JP 3DS; still didn't get anything for my NA 3DS). And why do I never get pink pieces as the initial piece?
According to this site, Nintendo has made FOUR new puzzles available in StreetPass Mii Plaza's Puzzle Swap.
Those four new puzzles are:
Heroines
New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U
Xenoblade Chronicles
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
So they're having puzzles for past games now. Seems that not all games get their respective puzzles right when the games are out.
And you still can't buy pink pieces. This part of the game gets slower in overall due to loading time.
Given the decline in number of people who bring their 3DS systems outside in where I live, it's getting hopeless. I guess I must travel to some other country again someday, just to collect those. Did I mention I travelled to Okinawa earlier this month and got a whopping 38 StreetPass tags in 4 days? If rural Japan got that many 3DS users, imagine what would it be like in big cites.
Other changes
The game now gives in-game coupons for hats if you accomplish certain criteria, such as walking 10000 steps in a day.
The number of tags per Mii is no longer capped at 99. People owning multiple 3DS like me can keep self-StreetPassing and exced that cap easily.
The game has also found new ways to crash.
