There isn't much to say about this yet. Looks like we're getting Mega Groudon and Kyogre forms, though.

Oh sweet. Part of me thought they wouldn't do it, because technically you could still send over your gen 3 mon to the latest gen, but at this point that's a real bitch so alright God Mode legendaries look neat. I wonder if the new mega evolutions get patched in X&Y or if it's gonna be a new generation of sorts. Also maybe this'll spark my Pokemania again and I'll actually finish X&Y. Woo!

There's actually supposed to be a new region, which makes sense if anyone remembers the backpacker who gives you the Strange Souvenir telling you that it's not from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, or Kalos.

I'm confused about the whole deal there. The wording of the trailer makes it sound like it's actually a new game, but apparently Iwata confirmed to investors that it is a full remake of the original games.

Bunch of new megaevolutions == COMPLETELY NEW ADVENTURE! That's how I'm taking it anyway. I liked some of the other speculations I read, that these were to be sequels like B/W2: taking place in Hoenn after either Kyorge or Groudon devastated the continent. Like some crazy alternate Zelda timeline, basically

Like some crazy alternate Zelda timeline, basically I had that thought too, and now that every generation has already been remade to be compatible with the newer games it'd be pretty cool if they started doing sequels rather than remakes.

The Japanese logos have those weird ruby and sapphire gems with Ω and α marks respectively. In X and Y, the logos contained the double spiral symbol of Mega Evolution. Hmm. I'm kind of anticipating a new sub-quest in the middle of the main R/S plot revolving around something alpha and something omega. Like the Sevii Islands detour when you reach Cinnabar in FireRed/LeafGreen.

Yeah, no kidding... At least Sceptile it getting an awesome Mega Evolution. If only Sceptile would have access to Draco Meteor, it would make it pretty cool. I also love Mega Swampert's design but the ability seems counter intuitive. Swampert's design has always seemed like it should be slow and bulky, with the mega evolution exaggerating those points, but it becoming a speed demon under the rain just doesn't feel right. Something along the lines of Rain Dish, Dry Skin or even Storm Drain fits the pokemon better.
But at least it's not Damp, if that's anything.
Also, is it just me or are the Ancient versions of Kyorge and Groudon leaner? I feel as the differences between their normal and Ancient versions are more apparent on Groudon, but eh.

I can't believe it happened . . . The debate is finally oven . . . Game Freak must have listened to the fans . . . Because that's definitely a hat on the male trainers head. Also gonna agree that the trainers look horrible as well. Even compared to their original designs.

Ehh, trainers look alright to me. Brendan's tan and pants give me some major Marlon vibes though. You can probably customize them anyway (more Male trainer options por favor)
Mega Sceptile looks loads better, Mega Swampert not so much. Win some lose some. And apparently Steven will have a Charizard X now? If that dude doesn't have a (Mega) Metagross too I'm gonna riot

The debate about that hat has been over for ages! Somebody actually asked Sugimori about it on Twitter years ago.
