I can see the BK one. The Dog is a bit darker than Banjo was, but that could be plausible deniability.
In addition, 5 uses the classic green duck. No red duck like the one in game, though.

Watching some of the streams, I'm pretty sure Ike 8 is meant to be based off of Chrom.

I'm kinda surprised that the black/green duck isn't the default one. That's the duck on the game's cover as well as the first duck you see when you start up a round.

Couple more, some from the Smash Wiki that are probably just bunk theories: Bowser 4 looks like Super Mario World Bowser, Bowser 5 Dry Bowser. Bowser 7, IMO, brings to mind Midbus, but that's probably a coincidence. Bowser 8 looked like Original Art Bowser, but doesn't in Smash 4. Charizard 6 looks like Aerodactyl a lot. It's rather surprising. Ganondorf: 7 could be Demise, 8 Ganon. Luigi: 5 looks like Mario on the American cover to Mario Bros. A bit obscure, but it does look like it. The dupe default was an error in the magazine, for what it's worht. The real costume is some yellow shirt with blue overalls. Mario: 3 looks like the Mario Bros. boxart we all went over in the Brawl days, Ness The tiled one here is a reference to the file select and character naming screens in EarthBound, same that got homaged with Yoyo Kirby. Olimar: Alph's green and pink are Charlie and Brittany from Pikmin 3. Palutena: 5 is Pandora, 6 Viridi. ROB: Has a Virtual boy color! His other new color is at 6:16. Anybody recognize it as anything?Shiek: I've heard 8 could be Hyrule Warriors Impa. It's a weird choice, but it's a very distinctive color scheme and quite elaborate compared to the others. But Luigi's 8th costume is a yellow shirt. Does he have two yellow alts now?  Also, remember how Mario's Foreman Spike palette steadily got darker and darker in each game until Fryguy said it looked black in Brawl? Now it looks like it really is black in Smash 4. |

I remember him having an orange palette in Brawl, so maybe it's that one?
