I'd totally be down for Fi and Ghirahim Blades, but I think any cameos will probably be limited to the Xeno games.
Anyway, the 1.4.0 update should be live now, so time to dive back in.
Also, here are some fun interviews with a couple of the English voice actors:
Skye Bennett (Pyra/Mythra):
Daniel Barker (Zeke):

Some hardcore fans did some data mining and they found data for the DLC story coming up. With out spoiling anything, it looks awesome and way better than what BotW got.

Yeah, I've been avoiding that. I'll wait for the official reveal.

According to the official website, the Torna ~ The Golden Country DLC will also be available physically as a standalone retail package. I guess that means you don't need the main game to play it? It also includes a download code for the expansion pass for the main game.

The Battle Challenge Mode is available to Expansion Pass owners today, and it includes Shulk and Fiora as Blades.
I'm sold.

The DLC for this game has been incredible, it's easily the best DLC Nintendo has released since Mario Kart 8.

Is it known yet if Shulk and Fiora are voiced by Adam Howden and Carina Reeves in the English version? It sure sounds like them.
The Japanese production notes say they're voiced by the original Japanese actors. There isn't an official English version of the notes yet, but whenever NoA/NoE get around to it, maybe they'll say who the English voice actors are.

I know that Howden voiced another character in the game, so they probably did get him for this. They did get Reeves back for XCX, so imagine she probably did reprise her role as well. If she did lines for Fiora in Smash Ultimate, I would be she did this as well.

So it looks like another legacy character will be coming to Challenge mode later on, perhaps in an update in July/August.

It is indeed Howden and Reeves, according to the game, itself. Don't know why I would've thought otherwise since since no one else has ever voiced the characters in English.
I've really come to appreciate Howden's voice for Shulk. I think his experience as a stage actor contributed to his ability to really put himself into his voice acting.

The latest expansion pass update adds the final two Rare Blades: Elma (from Xenoblade Chronicles X) and Corvin. Both available right now.
And here's a lengthy demo of Torna ~ The Golden Country from Gamescom:
So excited for this!

Elma stared at Rex's face pondering how his nose could vanish when viewed from the front and would reappear when viewed from the side until her train of thought was broken by everyone around her speaking in funny accents. This lead to a new question of was she the only one who spoke "normally" in this strange new world?

Finally finished Torna - The Golden Country. I did not end up doing every side quest because I got a little burned out from the grind.
The ending was very emotional, as expected from how things unfold in the main game. I admit it got to me, not just because of how it ends, but because it felt like I was finally "finished" with Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Sure, there are some loose ends I can still tie up (I'm still missing one rare Blade), and Torna has its own NG+, but as for the main content, it feels like I've covered it (twice in the case of the main game).
Having been so heavily absorbed in it for the past 10 months, it feels a little hard to let go. (I had similar feelings about Breath of the Wild before it.) It's definitely one of the best RPGs I've ever played, and I feel quite attached to it. I imagine I'll jump back in from time to time (again, as I do with BotW), but it's time to move on to other games for now.
Maybe I'll finally get around to finishing Ys VIII.
